Really it's more of a question, and probably a stupid one...
There are some teams in the UCL that do not run reserve teams. Is this literally just down to money? Or are there other factors involved?

Newport's reserve team play in the Suburban league northern division which caters for teams from step 5 and above.
They made the decision to move the reserve team as they believed it would be more of a benefit if their younger players were tested against higher level reserve teams and that the league provides all three officials

Rumour has it that Daventry United are also Daventry Town Reserves, possibly because of the change of the former's colours to those of the latter. Hmmm!! :-;

Fozwaldo how wrong u can be , i thought this got nipped in the bud a long time ago . As i have said before we are and will not be Dav Towns ressies , we have never used any off there players in any games except Ady Fuller there manager and a very close friend to me for many a year . Hmmmm colours ? if you are on about our away kit , yes it is purple because we had it give us and we are not in a posistion to turn that down . As we ground share with the town neither off us are able to run a ressie team , we have u18s which is quite sufficient and boasts a couple off good kids in it . Fozwaldo u wouldnt be from St Ives would u mate .

Thanks for that Charlie, as I said 'only a rumour'. I'm afraid I would know St Ives if he jumped up and bit me. Check out Stansted's opponents in the Vase, although I now live in Northamptonshire.
