Just noticed that with JUST 26 games played they are on course for a record breaking season!!
They have already exceeded their best ever Premier Division points tally since relegation in 1989, they also require just 3 goals to better their best ever goals for record
And would not have to conceed more than 125 goals to ensure they avoid their worst goals conceeded.
They are also on course to better their best ever league finish of 11th place!!
We can now understand why they are giving it so LARGE these days!!
;D ;D ;D ;D

Things looking up for them then. Are they paying more than they did way back then? Taking into account cost of inflation etc etc

And so Wellingborough should be racing away with the league etc due to the investments at the Dog & Duck.Sorry Haydn but the Doughboys are still not the best team in the league though. Not being critical but knowing WTFC only have to finish third to gain possible promotion must be in some of the squads minds.Credit to all those investing heavily in what is clearly an ambitious club. And good luck for the second half of the season by the way!

I agree with that Kev, our results show that mate, Deeping are in pole position and they haven,t lost a game yet, could they go thru the season undefeated??? has that ever happened???. All we at Wellingborough can do is keep winning our games and lets hope other teams drop points. We have a very trick game this saturday at home to Boston (weather permitting), looking forward to that one. We would love to win the league,BUT if we finish secord or third and are still able to go up then that will do for me. We have a lot of work to do yet to even think that far a head, but the lads are playing with a lot of confidence at the moment. Good luck to desboro for the rest of the season also kev.

Congratulations Wellingborough Town? ?? On What - Being in the top six??- Great stuff. And as for all the records - Well done - But how about Wooton, have a look at what Phil has done over the past three seasons, Deeping make WTFC look like also rans, Boston are far superior to WTFC and probably the most complete side in the UCL. Blackstones are doing fine and continuing their building process and Spencer are Spencer and Steve deserves great credit, Watch out for Potton they will make a late surge towards the top six, Cogenhoe are the best footballing side in the UCL and have the a great leader (the best manager in the UCL) - So well done Wellingborough and congratulations on the only thing you will win this season - THE BIGGEST BUDGET!!

Now this isn’t a very nice post is it? I am no lover of “parts” of Wellingborough's approach both on and off the pitch but really do not feel that this post does them much justice for what they have achieved. Isn’t it great that a famous old club has risen from extinction..? And are progressive meeting head on the challenges presented by the FA.
So is there really a point to this post???

So are you saying that Deeping do not deserve 10 times the credit that WTFC get? Or Wooton? - Probably had an overdose of WTFC mania- In my opion an average UCL team that will struggle big time IF they go up. At the end of the day it is about opinions.

Congratulations to Wboro for the record breaking. Is the significant drop in attendances a concern? Still - things are actually looking up for next season. If all goes to plan and Wboro go up AND Diamonds go down, I can see your attendances rocket. If you don't go up however...........

I think you will find spiders that the points raised in this post are to (as the title suggests) congratulate wellingboro. not one of the people above questions wheather other teams deserve credit....only you.....and not going about it in a nice way..... If you would like to give credit to certain teams then by all means start up a thread...........................and before you reply I'm not a wellingborough fan.....far from it!!
