Can someone tell me what PNS gained out of fielding a full 1st team squad for a Reserve Team game ? ( and before some clever wit replies 3pts! ) This is not the first time this has happened in the Reserve league this season and i think its a belittling slight on the regular Reserve Team players to get dropped. As far as i am aware PNS Reserves have nothing to gain by it

Probably 'resting' the Ressies before the Junior Cup final on Tuesday. Stotfold did a similar thing against S & L a few years ago.
Did PNS advise Bourne that they'd be playing the first teamers?

From information received Bourne only knew when theteam sheet was presented to them. No prior indication was made . I still disagree with the mentality of it all and i think the leagues should look into how many regular first team players can play at any one time for a Reserve Team

Fully understand why PNS did this - 1st team have not had a fixture for 2 weeks - Reserves have 3 games in 6 days - It is a club fixture and as I said when Deeping moaned about this last year who decides who is a first teamer and who is a reserve player? - they are all club players and PNS's only responsibility is to itself and uses the squad and fixture list as it sees fit.

I fully expected a response like that as you are conencted with PNS and that was a fully understandable statement from a manager, but it still be littles what the reserve team players have done for the club throughout the season. Could you imagine turning up for a reserve team game with a team of young inexperienced lads, bottom of the league to find out your playing against a full (paid no doubt) first team squad?
