Not sure where this should really be posted and no doubt it will be moved by the powers that be, however, I wanted to get as much publicity as possible:
Huntingdon Town Ladies are seeking new players in all positions to help strengthen last years squad. We struggled last season but I am confident with a few additions and a full pre season with the girls I can turn them around in to a successful side.
Anyone interested in coming to pre season training contact me on 07946 753 091.

Huntingdon Town are a growing power and with the emphasis on growing talent from grass roots on the male and female side of things, its important to do the obvious and inform the community that a. there is a female H Town team and B. there is a chance for people to join and take part. With a multi million pound state of the art home base and growing reputation, Huntingdon Town is the place to be.

Problem I have Ryan is getting a good calibre of player across to Huntingdon Town as my player knowledge in the womens game is limited.

use social media. adverts in papers are not good enough any more. go on other ladies football teams forums and post that you are looking for players and stuff. people move location all the time and might want to move. your selling point is the facilities and the centre of excellence that Huntingdon Town Football Club has. it also has a legacy, a history and most good footballers in the county have played for Rowdies Youth so tap into that. kids have mums and mums talk People talk, but if you dont speak, you will not be heard.

Surely all these Huntingdon Town threads which are of limited interest to anyone else should be on that clubs section.

Ryan, I am doing all of the above. I am trying to create a link with a semi pro club as well but its all in the early stages. I'm pressing for advertisement where ever I can and I hope we are moving in the right direction.
SG, I put this thread here for the sole reason of getting it noticed and hopefully getting players interested.

Huntingdon Town Ladies reached the final of the Plate competition yesterday at their own 5 - a - side tournament before losing to Prem side Kettering 2-0. The other Huntingdon side went out in the semi finals on penalties to our other Huntingdon Town side.
Along the way the girls played some good football, drawing with Ipswich Wanderers, beating Haringey Borough from the Prem and narrowly losing out to finalists Peterborough Azure and a draw against the eventual winners Great Shelford Ladies.

Davie, I understand it may be boring for you if you are not involved with Huntingdon, but if you, as in people in general are, they should keen to know whats going on throughout the club and not just the mens first team, reserves etc. As it is under HTLFC then you dont have to read it if you dont want to.
