As we enter the last phase of the 2011-12 season in Step 5 with 14 leagues, who are the likely teams that are pushing for promotion to Step 4?
Some teams at the top of their leagues and their closest challengers are in contention to gain promotion but are they in with a realistic chance of being accepted given that their grounds might not be suitable for the next highest level.
Who are the teams that have applied to go up. Who are possible champions of their leagues but have grounds that have not met the standard to go up to Step 4?
Given that there may only be 12 teams from 14 leagues that are likely to be promoted, is there any chance that a team coming 2nd in their league being promoted.
Anyone out there have any idea which teams who might win their league but have no chance of going up.

As Buckbys manager has stated in this weeks local paper that they have def applied for promotion it looks set to be down to them and Lynn , if Buckby win it but do not have the ground to go which will possibly be the case i can see them both staying in step 5 football wherever that may be .

kevinb, not getting worried at all - the team that keeps winning has the best chance of promotion.
However, why should a tinpot team who have a ground suitable for Step 4 but who's team is liable for de-motion stay up and deny a team from Step 5 the chance to better themselves, be they the champions of their league or runners-up.
There are 14 leagues whose teams are vying for promotion. What's the point of keeping a good team , with a suitable ground (for Step 4), in a lower league just to keep that under-performing team up.
My original question was which teams are likely to win their league/s but still fail to gain promotion due to the lack of suitable facilities and why not let the runners-up (with suitable facilities) be promoted.
Obviously, if there are several promotion spots "up for grabs" due to league winners failing to qualify, then runners-up should be considered.
I have a vested interest in King's Lynn but my question is relevant to all the Step 5 leagues and their teams. Come on you other Step 5 supporters, are your leading teams "in with a shout" of gaining promotion? Are they likely to win their league only to see their dreams dashed and that poor team in Step 4 stay in a league where they have no business to be?
