there has been plenty said about the decline of the ucl chatter forum lately. which has been mentioned on other club forums. I think this is because the admin has allowed a group of wind up users to join and stay hidden. To myself it would seem that it has mainly been people who have had a connection with a club in one way or another and then left, sacked or whatever. so they come on here to undermind that club. surely if this is the case the admin staff should either ban or shame them by unmasking that user. not using a real name should be fine, as many on here do, but they are widely known as they make no attempt the mask who they are. But step over the line and admin should reveal them.
keep it interesting and polite please, as its takes so much more less effort to be polite then nasty.

I think most UCL fans like the idea of an open forum for news, views and a bit of banter and of course a laugh or two! Feel sure the vast majority of “posters” are well intended with a genuine interest.
The trouble is even the well intended sometimes get drawn in by the not so well meaning and misguided postings and therefore the rest perhaps do not want to be associated with it. Perhaps this would explain the decline?
The criticism of referees has proven a real no go area as it produces no positive results with procedures at clubs already in place to make any complaint.
Like anyone else I have a list of clubs and individuals which at times have made me think in the heat of the moment some unpleasant thoughts and made me question what the heck they are all about.
However one should not take a “heat of the moment” onto a forum like this…. Because again it simply creates conflict which just stirs up bad feeling.

I think the secret is to not take yourself or the forum too seriously ... I know i never have and people that do are just easy bait and deserve the abuse ;D For example the most recent bad feeling was the Burton V Bugbrooke 'refgate' ... if i was part of the Bugrbrooke camp and the issue was SO crazy then you would just laugh and ignore it The lack of intelligence / common sense by some is flabbergasting , they then blame everyone else for the decline of chatter rather than themselves ... NO DISRESPECT but people get fed up reading the same old boring managers ( PNS etc ) reeling out the same old flannel and cliques that you hear on match of the day , even when they have the most money and best players in the league I'm using Tommy as an example and not having a personal dig , but managers always playing down their chances , talking about how many injuries they have and bumming up the other team before a match .. Its so bloody sickly So its split in to 2 and works 2 ways ... You have the boring backslapping manager types that just wanna talk to each other really seriously ... and then you have the jovial wind up / banter types that wanna have a bit of crack .... Neither are in the wrong but the 2 different sets of mentalities need to understand one another a little better ... Thats the only way you'll have a really good forum .... For example i stopped using the forum when SuperScully was banned Many people ive spoke to at alot of different clubs said that when that guy was on it , the forum was jam packed and people were really enjoying it ... but being the pompous and over rated nation we think we are , like to shut this sort of thing down .... Bring back SuperScully , allow him back on the forum ... Theres only a few that dont want him on here , the ones that cant take criticism

to not take the bait is the correct thing to do. that i do agree with, still does not make it right to do it. on the bug v bpw thread it got out of hand with threats made and people wanting to meet face to face, indicating they wanted to fight each other. you also got involved in it TC if i recall it, not the fighting thing but did add fuel to the fire. i could be wrong but attacking people verbally with violence, thats against the law right?

Depends how seriously you take it , the smiley faces are there to signify that itis tongue in cheek Was a serious threat made ? Did a criminal offense take place ? Was accusations or threats made to certain individuals ? In the history of chatter , has anyone ever met for a fight ? In the history of chatter , have the police ever had to get involved ? ;D Think some people need to lighten up and stop being so soft and sad . I got involved in the bpw thing for 3 reasons , to try and be respectful and calm the situ and also to show there was not a fair debate taking place ... 3rd reason that footballfan is a good friend of mine , and anyone wants to have a fight or meet face to face with him then they will have to deal with me also Not a threat , but a promise ;D

here we go again.. think we have drifted off subject! I explained myself to mishmash no more no less Cookie when was the last time you added something constructive to this forum You are Mr negativity Your snidely little innuendos are another reason why people don't fancy this site anymore ... You very rarely comment on footballing things like one of the lads , perhaps this comes from never really having played the game ;D

Not really , your just so incredibly dull without any real football knowledge Not my cup of tea ;D Anyway i cannot see for the life of me the new regs being implemented , there is a fine line between enforcing ground improvements wholesale and changing the face of local football systems / pyramids ... In my opinion it is all a long way off , if it happens at all

Here mishmash a challenge for you if you can a) Identify those who you believe are on here slagging off their clubs and then b) tell us your real name then perhaps we will tell you ours? Come on then thats fair?

Unfortunately both have cases for an open book so the debate will just keep going around in circles

What decline? Look at how many views posts get, if only the people that viewed also made a comment, as they must think something when they read, all would be well and better for it.
