I have been having a nightmare trying to get it to load on my pc in recent weeks.
When it does the content is ok, but the layout a bit naff looking. Without wanting to go all Buggalugsesque on the forum. That standard template from leaguewebsite isn't too easy on the eye.
Does the league need something a bit better looking?

The generic layout is that cost of having a remotely hosted website. The ClubWebsite.co.uk sites are probably ideal for those with limited or no coding knowledge, as I expect it has a friendly admin interface for managing content.
Without entirely creating your own website the other option is to go down the route St Ives have taken which is to install a product such as Joomla, a content management software which does the same thing. Being hosted on your own site/domain it allows a lot more customisation, and a greater choice of skins/layouts are available to use. The problem with Joomla can be security, in that unless you ensure you have the latest updates/upgrades you risk your site being insecure.

I would hazard a guess the league would love a techy wizard on board to create a jazzy new website,
The league/clubwebsite service provides a tried and tested system of updating which can be done with no technical knowledge ie fixtures, results, tables download of news and info.
So don’t think the question is could it be more jazzy? but how without the resource / technical know how to maintain it.

You really of the opinion that these guys would turn down a new pair of hands with the skill to create and update a jazzy site? They are currently updating and maintaining between them 3 websites, Mitoo, the FA site for the league and www.ebucl.com Hardly a lack of interest in doing it? Is it>??
