Surely being a Rushden and Irthlingborough club it will be against Rushden and Higham. After all, the club's location changes yearly. Agree with the first bit, Rushden & Higham will be our derby next year, no way should Whitworths be seen a derby game. On the second bit, we're only groundsharing with Wellingborough, with a view to getting back to the Rushden/Irthlingborough area. I also think if Raunds* had been an option, our fans would have voted to remain there for senior football. *Completely respect their wishes on that, and I probably speak for all our fans in saying they did a first class job of accomodating us for our NSYL campaign over the past season.

Just ignore those bitter snide comments, surprised we've only had the one or two so far to be honest. I'm just so pleased to have football back on Sat and looking forward to visiting some great little grounds during 12/13 Raunds where great to us last year and I'm really looking forward to a trip back there.

What's bitter? Two Seasons, two grounds. And as your club has said, your aim is to get back to the Rushden or Irthlingborough area. If that was next season then that is three seasons, three grounds. Facts are facts. Nothing bitter but a comment on your proposed derby game for boxing day and Easter Monday.
Surely you haven't adopted the "no-one likes us" tag already!

Someone has to have it now we are moving on,so why not the best supported club in the league set up,throw in a few racist and thugs as well, and put your prices up when they visit.

Exactly Gav! Surely "rushden&diamonds" derby match is "rushden&higham" !! Unless it's going to be Wellingborough&diamonds by the start of the season ?!!!!

As said, I completely agree that Rushden & Higham will be the derby game next year. It will not be Wellingborough & Diamonds, the fans would vote any proposal of that nature down. It is a fair point that we have had to 'move' twice, but as has already been said, had Raunds been an option to groundshare, I think it is likely the fans having spent a season there would have voted to stay there for senior football until at some point a viable ground in Irthlingborough or Rushden is possible. Regardless of derbies and groundsharing, I think I speak for all our fans in saying that we'll be looking forward to every minute of every game next year.

Next season we're going to be taking everybodys grounds, they'll all be INVASION fixtures ;D Everyone will love us and our Rushden MASSIVE ! ;D

Hello 3of! Seriously, what do you estimate your travelling support will be next season?

It is a fair point that we have had to 'move' twice.... Actually we've only 'moved' once! AFC R&D started at Raunds and from next season and the foreseeable future it will play at Wellingborough.

Actually twice since we already existed prior to going to Raunds, but had no ground. From nothing to Raunds to Wellingborough, therefore twice

Hello 3of! Seriously, what do you estimate your travelling support will be next season? That's really difficult to judge. Had we been in the Prem it would have been higher no doubt, but this season as a youth team the average away attendances have generally been 200+. I'm expecting similar for next season.

Actually twice since we already existed prior to going to Raunds, but had no ground. From nothing to Raunds to Wellingborough, therefore twice On the basis that our first ever game, the DR Memorial match, was played at Kiln Park then one move. You can't move from nowhere.
