We've all heard it time and time and time again - How much so and so gets paid at so and so club. Most of the time it's complete long-talk and just a case of young lads 'playing the game', wanting to be the talk of the clubhouse whilst keeping up the guise of being a "semi-professional footballer" to their mates back home.
Those of us in the know, know that the chat is exagerated at best but mostly utter drivel - though small payments have been and still do get paid.
But my question is, now that UCL clubs are being much more sensibly run and are trying to steer a steady, sustainable ship, do we think players from any teams (apart from the obvious newcomers to our league) get paid anything beyond what amounts to basic expenses? And if so what sort of money are we talking about?
I simply cannot believe that any club nowadays (apart from the AFChelsea Diamonds) can 'pay' a player more than £40/game. What are others thoughts on this?
[But even the AFC stuff is getting ridiculously exagerated now - I was in the clubhouse the other day and overheard chat that they had players getting £200/game - Which is obviosuly utter pony because at the very least they would be subject to Tax & NI contributions.]

.
Resistance to that sort of gossip is futile, its the stuff of many a bar talk nadz, it what keeps the beer flowing other than the manager should be playing such and such in that formation or position and that was never a a offside and the ref needs glasses or should have gone to spec-savers.
Big pinch of salt require for players wages or expenses.

Don't forget we'll be coming to Raunds this season, I expect you'll buy us all a pint to stave off assimilation? ;D So that's 200 pints of bitter and 150 pints of lager and a fruit based drink for 150 laydies
