well my guess is its a chap called Dave Robertson "Robbo" and I guess he must be a mate of Rob Newman. He may be an experienced man, I take nothing away from his credentials, but if he is working for Posh ( as I'm led to believe) how can he devote the time and effort to Town. And most importantly he dosn't know any of Towns present young players, so how will he keep them at the club. I don't think the Town committee have thought it through properly.

yeah thats the name i heard! do u know 100% what the reason was for the decision 2 be made? was it personal reasons for Gary Ling? or had the committee of town decided Lingy wouldnt be doing it next season? i agree with u about the young players, if town want 2 progress any further they need 2 keep that young squad together, this dave robertson may ave players lined up 2 come in!

guest1 I don't think it was the personal reasons bit, if you are a Town supporter you will know that they were saying the Ortonians manager was coming in, now its Robbo coming in, so I think they wanted Lingy out since xmas. But my biggest fear is that Town will lose all the youngsters that have being groomed by Lingy. Since the turn of the year they have gleaned 27 points, whereas they only got 14 before xmas. To me that is a sign of a developing team, to the committee it must be a sign of going backwards.

rob i am a fan and also a player! that is a good point you have made, and yes there seems 2 be a lack of support towards gary, which in not fair!!! have the town board ever thought of asking the players wot they think? because if that was the case this wouldnt be an issue and lingy would be huntingdon town manager next season!!! i also fear the squad will lose valuable members and exciting youngsters, but the board knows best
