St Neots lost 1-0 to Ortonians this afternoon. Afraid St Neots looked very ordinary against an ordinary side.

It was a case of not taking chances in the first 20 minutes and it came back to haunt us.
Congratulations to Ortonians......A fitting way to sign off from Senior football

Cheers to those who were kind enough to congratulate us at Ortonians on our win against St.Neots on Monday coming close on the heels of the Peterborough Premier Division Title win on Saturday. Hell of a way to go out! Nothing ordinary about a side who overcomes the body blow of hearing the club is folding after 46 seasons in a year in which we were denied the chance to win a 3rd consecutive PFA Senior Cup by an administration error and lose just 1 of its last 20 games - it would have been easy for everyone to leave and get themselves fixed up with new clubs, but instead we all dug in and were determined to go out in style. Incidently, I think that the defining line between Hunts & Northants membership was always said to be the River Nene in Peterborough, though that should make Peterborough United a Hunts club, so not really sure.

Tommy, Well done on your success this season - it couldn't have happened to a nicer man - or such a good team - now when are you going to do the sensible thing and take the Huntingdon Town job ? Mick
