Report from the Chesham site on www.cheshamunited.co.uk/match-reports/sep2.php which seems to tally with the Spencer report - except they got Jason Gray mixed up with someone else!

I took in Woodford Utd's tie at Ely City (sorry, slightly off topic now Woodford are gone). They were certainly made to work hard for their win and were held for an hour. After going ahead through a comical own goal, they held on til the last 5 mins, when two further goals gave them a rather flattering 3-0 win.

They had one or two useful players, although a few instances of 'gamesmanship' wound up certain Ely players and made for a bad tempered match at times.

I'd chosen the tie at Ely over St Neots, sounds as though I may have made the wrong choice - I'd decided there was more chance of an upset at Ely
