I didnt think the 3-0 score against Newport reflected on the game and was a bit unfair. Both sides were evenly matched but again Newport had trouble finishing any of there chances off. Newport played very well, excellent defending by Thorpey and Tappy, some great build up play in midfield and some great crosses into the box, but the final end product not so good! The Swans seemed to be Goal shy when it comes to cup compititions but in the league seemed to be scoring 2 or 3 per game!?!?! There no chamged in the team so cant understand why? I cant take it away from Chalfont as they were a very well organised disaplined side. Well done to them! 2nd time a Newport game in 5 days has gone to Extra time AND thank god this time not penalties! I think the players were really feeling it at the end of extra time! And a big nice one to the UCL Clubs that got through!

Sorry to see Raunds exit the competition and according to the ET The Manager reckoned the lads looked a bit tired. Surely this is now the time for reflection as to whether playing on a Sunday as well is too much for some. I still feel that whatever payment you receive from your UCL club your loyalty should be to them, and not to your Sunday team. It,s time to choose.

Sunday football and whether paid UCL players should partake should get its own thread at some point.
Well done to the UCL clubs who went through (even Deeping!) and good luck in the next round.

Thats why I am holding off starting it!! In the current climate anything could happen, let's let things calm down for a while before going down that road!
