I have just read the comments regarding the Stotfold first team... Although i haven't seen the first team at Stotfold play this season, i was shocked to see the negative responses that they amassed already!
The reason behind this is because i have seen the Reserves at Stotfold play on several occasions this season and was very impressed with alot of things... apart from being a very talented, young side. They were also very proffessional and sportsman-like.
Theres alot to say about the youth of today and i'm often one of those who say's most of it but, if the first team at Stotfold are as bad as those people are saying then maybe they should take a leaf out of the Reserve teams book.
I believe the oldest player for the Reserves is about 24, and they knock the ball around, defend and attack with such velocity that many teams have found it hard to cope with them... I'd go as far as saying that there are quite a few players in this team that could easily play in the Firsts...
I may be wrong, and i hope im not but what do you think of the reserves at Stotfold fc? And are there any players in particular that stand out for you?

Tommo plays for Sileby. As you may be able to tell, he likes Bacon rolls (that's at least two threads he's commented on his favourite after game foodstuff!)

They aren't my reserves tommo. I just go and watch them quite a bit.
Is Nathan the tall one up front with the long dreads?
He's a very good player if it is him.

See comment on Bacon Rolls and Dominoes for Tommo's fitness!!
All good at BSMFC matey, just itching to play football again - we've had three weeks without a game and need to get out of the blocks quickly against Dav United this weekend.

Watched Stotfold res at whitworths yesterday, when I left it was 1-0 to whits. Stotfold looked a good side.I liked the tall lad up front(Nathan) and had a chat with the manager before kick off. Nice Bloke and they were no trouble at all. Whits res have got some good young players. 2xyoung Belfon's(You must know THAT name),the young keeper Baxter looks good and is taking his chance. Moses Rodrigues ,small kid ,but he can play, Macca and young McDermott when he gets fit also look good. Nice to see a local club giving local lads a go.
