What a game last night, both teams turned up with 9 1st teamers in their respective squads.Wellingborough with 6 games in hand and PNS aiming to stay second. Was a must win match for both clubs in what turned out to be a very close game.It was a tough physical game in the wet slippery conditions. Both sides had their chances in a close 1st half but PNS went in 1 up.Wellingborough came out strong 2nd half and piled on the pressure. They got a deserved equalizer with 15mins to go and the game looked to be heading for a draw until 10 mins from time when PNS were awarded a corner and Chris Plummer rose at the far post to head home.Wellingborough again pushed forward and hit the woodwork but PNS held out for a vital win in front of the watching Huntington rrepresentative who went away still sitting at the top of the league.10 games to go and the league is still tight which is a testament to the PNS manager Seamus Morgan who took over this season after PNS finished near the bottom last year, and he has rebuilt the team from sratch. Many thanks to all at Wellingborough after banging on our changing room wall and cheering after beating us earlier this season, this spurred us on and helped our teamtalk last night.Hope you enjoyed being on the receiving end, what goes around!!!!
