Certainly don't at Blackstones. Last weekend Reserves on Saturday, 1st Team on Monday, Reserves on Tuesday, ALL games played! All it takes is a little/lot effort. I know there are people on here who slag off the Blackstones groundsman but at least they always play, whatever team in the CLUB. Really angry that we have no Home game today, due to League Fix Sec, as the pitch is totally fit and Spencer Res who were scheduled to be here have now been forced to travel for a night match! Don't get me really started about Clubs that "protect" their pitches for First Teams, thought we were all CLUBS!!!!!!!!

Stotfold reserves approached Sileby Rangers last week in order to get the game off as 6-8 players were going away for the weekend on a stag weekend or something. They requested the game to be played last night (Friday) but sileby refused to change the fixture. It was no surprise today to learn that the game has been called off and was probably always destined to be with any excuse of the weather...dont think that preserving the pitch today was on the agenda but the fact that they knew a week ago they wouldnt have a team or certainly a strong team ! Stoitfold cannot deny any of these facts and I bet a visit to stotfold would almost certainly see the pitch playable as well and was called off a 'local' man in the middle ! What a joke !
