Sorry Spencerbloke for using your format. I think its great (im lazy really)!
www.yaxleyfc.com/
I would like to say that i know there is a lot of work involved in producing and maintaining a web-site. I dont want any of the webmasters to feel hurt or insulted or unduly criticised by my comments (its only constructive critisum).
Being honest i dont have a clue how to set website up!
First impression of the Yaxley site was it seemed a little basic visually. Not as graphical as some of the other UCL websites.
The other impression is that they seem very Commercially aware, lots of sponsors, therefore keen on raising money for the club.
What I Liked.
Very easy to Navigate. I liked the fact there is a seperate supporters website, which is also easy to navigate and includes the UCL message board link.
I also like the Fact theres a vacancies section, getting the community involved is good.
I think the best part of the website is the club shop. When i first looked at the website over a year ago i was taken back by the fact Yaxley produced a replica shirt (not many clubs at this level do).
I also like the fact theres a Match Day Weather report which is handy for the away traveller!
Its also good to see plenty of sponsor on the website showing a big backing to the club.
What I Didn't Like - Not much to report here.
Looked a little basic visually, lacking in graphics (The basic menu links could look more like buttons rather than just words).
No full fixture list for league games first team or reserves (All league games have been released up until end of December).
The results section for the Ladies was quite hard to read (Scanned in i think). The Youth and Junoirs results you have to link via others website, rather than the actual results being on the main Yaxley website.
I know its early days for all team results so i do acknowledge that this might be different during the season.
Scores
1. Ease of use and navigation - 8
2. Scope, breadth and quality of information - 9
3. Quality and bias of match reports (probably difficult at this time of year) - (Linked to other site) 7.
4. Overall impression of technical quality, look, feel etc - 6
5. Commercial aspects (does it help raise money for the club?) - 10 excellent, the club show real ambition!
6. Editorial quality (does it read well?) - 7
7. Overall score (add up the scores and divide by six) - 7.8
Summary - another good site which gives you all you need to know about the club.
Please feel free to argue with my scoring!
Jimmy, please dont ban me!!!!
