I would like to say that i know there is a lot of work involved in producing and maintaining a web-site. I dont want any of the webmasters to feel hurt or insulted or unduly criticised by my comments (its only constructive critisum).
Being honest i dont have a clue how to set website up! So Jimmy please dont throw me of this site! ;D
I am aware that this is a supporters site, rather than a main Football club site. So my marking will take into account for this and this may not go towards the final table (Its up to Spencerbloke ;D).
First impression of the Supporters site is that its very well constructed graphically! I like the overall feel the website gives you (Oh Errr) and its very easy to navigate and reads well.
What I Liked.
Very easy to Navigate. Graphically i think it looks better than the main Yaxley website (Sorry) with the main links set out better, looking like buttons rather than just text.
I also like the fact theres a good online store, raising money for the club. So this person has in mind the Finacial side for Yaxley FC.
I also liked that the Match and programme price are there, not many clubs themselves give the entrance prices etc.
I like the most the Cuckoos News History section. I enjoyed reading through that section of some of the old news and match reports etc... Gazza for Yaxley??
What I Didn't Like - Not much to report here.
Wasnt so keen on the message board. Found it more difficult to use than most other message boards (i suppose its what your used to).
Its very difficult to pick at anything else. Shame i wanted to give Jimmy some stick (only joking). ;D
Scores
1. Ease of use and navigation - 9
2. Scope, breadth and quality of information - 8
3. Quality and bias of match reports (probably difficult at this time of year) - (Linked to other site) 7.
4. Overall impression of technical quality, look, feel etc - 8
5. Commercial aspects (does it help raise money for the club?) - 8 Yes. Via an online store selling shirts etc.
6. Editorial quality (does it read well?) - 8
7. Overall score (add up the scores and divide by six) - 8
Summary - A very good supporters site which gives you most you need to know about the club. Its good that there are links to the main Mitto site for results and tables for Yaxley FC as the main site gives you that anyway. One thing that might be good to see is fans views or reports of the games. But then again the message board could be for that.
