Wellingborough 2004 FC Website.
www.wellingboroughtownfc.co.uk/index.html
I would like to say that i know there is a lot of work involved in producing and maintaining a web-site. I dont want any of the webmasters to feel hurt or insulted or unduly criticised by my comments (its only constructive critisum).
Being honest i dont have a clue how to set website up!
First impression of the Wellingborough site is that they a very comercially aware with plenty of sponsor present.
The first appearance of the site is very good and is fairly easy to navigate, but not as easy as the Yaxley site.
What I Liked.
I like the way the Fixtures / Results are set out with links to basic match reports. I like the way the match reports are also set out, not to wordy, giving you the basic ideas of the games etc...
The basic feel of the website is also very good.
There is a very good Youth section / website which is set out well, and is very easy to navigate. A little easier than the main website (Sorry webmaster!!!).
A very good well used message board on this site as well. I like the way its set out!
What I Didn't Like - Not much to report here.
No links present (coming soon). And NO UCL Chatter board link present!!!
The UCL Newsletter is a little out of date (March 2006), we've had three since then.
Also other UCL results out of date.
I did say there wasnt much to report here!
Scores
1. Ease of use and navigation - 7
2. Scope, breadth and quality of information - 6
3. Quality and bias of match reports - 8.
4. Overall impression of technical quality, look, feel etc - 8
5. Commercial aspects (does it help raise money for the club?) - 9
6. Editorial quality (does it read well?) - 8
7. Overall score (add up the scores and divide by six) - 7.7
Summary - another good site which gives you most what you know about the club. Maybe some updating required, but its easy for me to say as i dont run a website and i can only guess it takes time.
Please feel free to argue with my scoring!
No hard tackles Hayden in the UCL re-match!!! ;D
