I was wondering if any of you webmasters could let me know what sort of fee you charge sponsors for advertising on your club website.

This is all a bit new for us at Spencer, and so far what we've done is that if someone advertises or sponsors us in some way, we stick them on the web for no additional cost. So there is no specific charge for a website advert.

Same here, depending on if the artwork needed to be done ETC it could be done mid season along with a matchball sponsorship for instance.

The sponsors we have on our site are at the moment linked with the club. We are looking for additional sponsors as the banners are randomizing. I would charge for a banner on my site something like £20 a year. All proceeds to go to the club. So in effect, one sponsor would near enough buy a match ball or training ball. I think a small 467 x 60 Banner would cost about £5 a year, but then you can charge what you want, its your site after all.

Perhaps you could also ask him to center the picture on the homepage as well Thank you for your comment. Quote from the Webmaster It IS possible to centre the title, etc on the home page, but you have to remember that what you are seeing is three pages in one. The photo and heading are centred on the page and if we move the alignment it could make it difficult because so many different people use a variety of viewing options.

I see your problem. I was viewing in Firefox, and it doesnt show the scroller to the right handside. Had a peek in IE and saw that it was indeed three separate frames.
Hmm, tricky that.

It's not a problem if it is coded properly and not relying on lots of to get the layout. I thought I'd attatch some code for the header which in theory works... <html>
<head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"> <title>Ford Sports Daventry Football Club</title> <base target="contents"> </head>
<body style="background: url('Pale_Grain.jpg) #fff;"> <div style="background: url('BADGE2ANI.gif') no-repeat left; color: #2663b9; margin:10px; text-align:cener; height:80px;"> <p style="font:bold 20px 'arial',sans-serif;">FORD SPORTS DAVENTRY FOOTBALL CLUB</p> <p style="font:bold 16px 'arial',sans-serif;">Founded 1968</p> <p style="font:normal 15px 'arial',sans-serif;">Members of The Eagle Bitters United Counties Football League</p> </div>
</body>

</html> Isnt it the picture in the center which needs to be aligned to match the header, not the other way round?

Seems like the technophobes have taken over! I thought websites were for the CONTENT not the set up? As for a picture 'looking' 1mm out of centre (even if it is centered on its own page) I cant believe the furorer this has caused on this thread!
