Hullo there chaps.
Just thought I'd point you in the direction of Wellingborough Town's brand-spanking-new website THEDOUGHBOYS.NET if you have not already heard about it. It came on line Wednesday night.
You are all very welcome to join myself and others to add your two pennyworth in the open Forum. And keep up with all the latest news from the Dog and Duck.
And after Tuesday night's result, Jimmy, you can be made a special guest of honour....!!
We look forward to seeing you all pop in from time to time.
I hope you enjoy it.

Well, no buggalugs there isn't. No Sydney Opera House, Hanging Gardens of Babylon or even herds of wildebeest.... But then it has been running only two days.
I think you'll find that this site is a matter of quality over quantity. With sustainable areas that don't try to be too clever. As a supporter, what would you rather have? A load of clutter last touched four months ago? Or information that actually means something?
So far the site offers: a) a full match report of last Saturday's game. b) photos of five of the eight Wellingborough goals - some of them in action sequence c) news from the club as it happens d) a pre-match report on the next game, including details of injuries, suspensions etc etc e) an accurate summary of results section giving you attendance and goalscorers f) all forthcoming fixtures with kick off times g) up-to-date League tables in full including home and away records h) an active fans' forum
Maybe you are confusing a neat and tidy design with lack of information!!
Anyway, it appears to have made most Wellingborough fans I have spoken to so far quite happy. Not least because it is a lot more than they are used to.
Always room for improvement though, I quite agree.

Thats a lot of work, almost a full time job to keep it up-to-date. I did Sleafords ground pics....... which only needed pictures on it each week, and occasionally updated Sleaford reserves on the main site.
Easy at first but gets to be a chore after a while (I must admit, I was busy, doing other things too ;D)

Nice to see he's got time on his hands... But only time will tell... I'm not going to knock it, I hope he can continue how he has started....
Apparantly it is the new official site but officially I have not been told this.... So what!!!

Sounds like it is the official self styled supporters forum but not the official club authorised forum to me jonmac

It's mentioned in the programme as the official site... But nobody consulted me about it, they will just avoid the issue...

Thats Typical mate, You are a great bloke while youre doing it although I noticed that Saturdays results were on www.wellingboroughtownfc.co.uk before they were on the secondary site. most important for a website is updated information does the club pay for the domain name?

It's all in my name, but the club has contributed to it this year. As for having results on earlier than the other site, I'm not competing with them but I have often done my updates on a Saturday night. But when the site is left for 3 or 4 days without an update (or on one occasion 2 weeks due to moving and having no internet access) some users come down on you like a ton of bricks. Now... as for deleting comments off the bulletin board - I consider it just like putting up a new fence outside your house and leaving cans of spray paint next to it and a message for everyone to call you a "see you next tuesday!!!" www.wellingboroughtownfc.co.uk

Do what I do mate - if anyone complains about my site I just tell them to basically go and **** themselves. This stance has been made quite apparent from the outset and to date I've had no complaints.

Obviously it had to be kept clean and some of the punters did thoroughly deserve being abused directly back instead they throw their toys out of the pram..... Or put it differently went and bought their own ball.....
