How imaginative ..... one of those awful "website-in-a-box" template thingies.

I think I'll hold proper judgement until the season starts and it can be seen 'in action'. It would be good if there was links to the various websites of the teams in the leagues.
Still I assume that it's a 'generic template' rather than professionally designed specially as it relies on tables for layouts and fails html validation.

Agree with the above pyro and like any website it's only as good as the info on it , which needs to be updated regular . Information is key..the way it looks is'nt that important .

Yes m8 realize that , someone at the club has just volunteered to get on with that so should be stuff on it soon , but more likely once players have resigned etc

For me the format should be irrelevant. It is the content that matters.
Mitoo was ok, but I would like to think that this site will take it that stage further.

Surely it already has?/ pics with easy to read news? link to clubs web sites, league documents that are easy to download, opportunity for clubs to highlight whats happening, free web site for clubs etc etc???/ Mitoo will still be used for results and league tables. so nothing lost and everything to gain. Pictures is new and will enhance the leagues user-friendliness/Online Presence, Downloadable documents were always available but not used (they will be another plus, and hopefully should save on stationary in the long term), all the others were freely available anyway. but as was said earlier, a web site no matter how many bells and whistles is only as good as its content. I dont know the whole ins and outs of future developments, but it should be a valuable addition to the leagues public face.

And you only have to see the interest this site has created to know that there are people out there who care passionately about the UCL

I wonder though, do we get too much information from various sites? How long before another one comes along? "John Boy"

Its a shame they dont put more effort into it. The UCL gets a lot of attention and someone could make an incredible site for all the clubs.

"John Boy" Well I would hope that another forum doesn't come along and that we continue to corner the market here. It is interesting that there isn't one on the UCL website, maybe they understand the contribution we have made by being the first online UCL community.

If the Official UCL website (EBUCL) said to you that they wanted you to be the official UCL message board (which it is more or less at moment) along side there website, would you?

That would depend on censorship if I am being totally honest.
I think we have had some issues and been on a learning curve with our own censorship and I think that we finally have the balance right. I am certainly wiser about moderating a forum as a result.
The UCL committee know who I am and where to find me.
