Ok, worth a try, I would say these are the best localy I have seen in the UCL over the last 10 years, not all Div 1 (that would be different): 1. John Hughes - WTFC 2. Tim Wooding - WTFC 3. Ben Lord - Higham 4. Aidy Mann - Diamonds, Cogenhoe among others 5. Craig Norman - WTFC 6. Luke Dowling - Raunds & Spencer 7. Darren Harmon - Cogenhoe, Long Buckby 8. Richard Bailey - Raunds 9. Darren Collins - Cogenhoe & WTFC 10. James Westley - Cogenhoe, Raunds & Whitworths 11. Sean Keeble - Raunds I would play them 4-3-3 (but would probably end up 4-0-6 with this lot! )

OK , being serious now - i dont think you would go to far wrong with figo team above but id try to squeeze in Joey Martin , William Straiton , Paul Murphy , Gary kennedy , Gary Wood , Kev Mcquire and Dave Torrance!!!!!!!! All from the corby side of the pond and played for various ucl clubs.....i would also like to add that i played in the same team as 3 of the above , i just thought youd like to know HA ha . Anyway perhaps a 22man squad would be a good idea , as you would have to work out cover for positions etc etc like your doing your normal saturday thing..Only kidding BUT i know that figo is scribbling away now as we speak...hes on it LOL LOL LOL

Nice selections but from what I have seen the last 4 years, not as good as those players from 20 - 25 years ago, sorry.

Ok JJ - lets have a UCL 11 from 20 years ago.
A bit before my time but would be interesting to see if any of the names are still involved locally.

blademan has done a good job on the team of 20 years ago though I liked a lad called Duncan Foster in Goal and Terry O keefe up front with Kev Newman in Midfield. A bit further back Chick Marshall and more recently Micky Garside up front. I will have a think and post back.

Recognise a couple of names from the old side but its very Northampton/Wellingboro focussed. I saw Mr O'Keefe play several times and remember him scoring most occasions!
SS's shout of Joey Middleton is a good one. A few others from the north end of Northants that were around at the time would also have been worth considering. Andy McGowan, Frankie Murphy, Gordon Hall, Pete Mulverhill, PJ Hamill, Steve Birch are all players I remember being well regarded.
And my old man will be really unhappy about not getting a mention for the goalkeepers spot!!! ;D

excellent list blademan. Theres some cracking players from back in day and it shows how quickly time flies. The strikers on show are pretty potent and would score against most.Im sure there is some great old heads missing from our lists and they're probably saying"why'd they pick him,he was poor". Still, hats off to any of the talents mentioned.

Interesting names and some great players pringle. Whats your connection with them? You must be mid thirties and have obviously played locally. Brian Clarke in particular was fantastic for the original wboro town and later on for Sunday side Valleybrook. Darren Collins at Diamonds and previously Enfield score goals for fun. Steve Bendon, the traditional centre forward, always in your face and must have scored 15-20 a season. Not sure about Kipper or Garratt, how old are they?

I think kipper is now about 60 ?? but he has aged well . Micky Garside, Rob Thorne, Terry O K ,Del Atko, Jason Mem, All good, Very good. What a side they could make.
