At the time they were not good enough and were just 1/4 through a season , but by the time id finished with them they were more than ready and i think you will get the answer to your questions next season . Cam , i am a little disappointed in your 2 questions . Are you saying that all players in res teams who are good enough to play 1st team level , just up-sticks and leave ? Perhaps they want to break into the 1st team at that particular club among-st other reasons ? A bit odd those questions mate . Also ucl div is not the fantastic standard you think it is and i have many many reasons for this . One of them is that a player who played for me last season went and played for a div1 side , he was not blown away by them to say the least and he said that that the ressy team he left were a much better side than the 1st team he was now playing in , i will not much mention the player or team or involved . Like i say that is just one reason and i know for certain there are many more , so please not try to be too blinkered on how much of a difference there is between ucl div1 and rdiv1..of course there is a difference top end but not the GIGANTIC one you seem to insinuate . Anyway time for a nice cup of tea .

Anyway time for a nice cup of tea . SS I wasn't insinuating it was a massive difference but their certainly is one. I can understand players wanting to stay at a particular club and and fight for a place in the first team however if that wasn't going to happen ( as i think may have been the case at Whitworths) then why stay and continue to play ressies. Also, your comment about 1 player who went and played first means absolutely nothing as its only 1 players opinion. And lets face no player with a little pride/dignity is going to come back and say that "Div1 was so hard and I was out of my depth" No, he will big himself up and say it was a piece of mick!!

Only one players opinion , just like you are just one person thats true as am i? , but i did say there were many other reasons and there are other players also - i just did'nt go into them . As for the one player and team i was talking about i wondered if the penny has dropped ? he is certainly player you would like to have in your first team next season and he didn't say anything about the standard - that was me who said that!! The player only compared the two teams in question . I do agree though with your comment " it was unlikely to happen at whitworths " but they are being told something different and as you know young players just want to hear the right things and they are hearing those things there , but was not from me and this is something i am totally against , i like to let players know where they stand and we can all make the choices from there on . Anyway cam , i love our little chats but it is time i got my head down and concentrated on the job in hand , and i don't think this website is going to benefit me with this job , so i will soon be announcing my temporary retirement from chatter......until next summer then ill be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SS why are retireing with the season just around corner?? Surely thats when the fun really starts when we will have games, goals, linesmen, sending offs..etc...to discuss? Or was it always your strategy to back off when the season began as this way if it all goes tits up at Corinths then you will not have to justify your many "I am the best" statements!!

Ill be back next may , don't worry about that and i have enjoyed the last couple of months while there is no footy and to make sure things go well and DONT GO TITS UP i personally need to concentrate on the job in hand and that job only , plus this website frustrates me with the lack of knowledge of some of it's members...present company excluded!! Keep an eye out for news on my role and team , i think you could be unpleasantly surprised by the progress . I also saw your "Thrapston dark horses" tag , care to have a wager on that with the 1st team i will be supporting on who finishes higher , or perhaps who finishes higher 1st v 1st - res v res double ?? that way the talking stops and you can put your money where your mouth is , i find this is a good way of finding out who's got the bottle ? You certainly best have the cash . So anyway Cam my dear we will see at the end of the season wont we who can justify there comments or win the bet??? You are not dealing with a mug my friend and im looking forward to taking your money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
