billyboy,in the words of a song, I predict a riot. Legal action could ensue and writs could be issued over this matter. The worse players know who they are but as they get older ,waistlines get wider and lager tells a tall tale. Would it be fair to shatter an ego. Children could leave home when they find out dad did not play for Madrid only Higham Res. I say let sleeping dogs lie ( and Highams right back)

This thread is losing its way from who will shine to all time worst........... Dalds off to a great start with a trick on friday could he re-produce his season of 3 years ago when he got 40? As for keepers boots....you gotta be good to wear those colours or you invite trouble............thankfully for Whitworths the boy is good.

Yes I think so...........as with last season he will make the difference between the team that could have won the league for maybe the last 3 seasons. That in no way says the other players dont do it because they do but in previous seasons the keeper issue has cost us and last season it didnt. They all make mistakes but not many make some of the saves he does. Good enough for the prem no probs and with Foxy to guide him he will get better as will the other 2 quality keepers we have.

Having Kevin Fox around can only benefit the club let alone the keepers. A great aquisition I might add. Do you think that the 3 keepers will all be happy to battle for 2 places?

I agree with JJ. No need to be rude is there jimboy. Lee purser is a good player the same as Patto. The only diffrence is a bit of metal that says 'Division 1 winner'. Good luck with your season at Thrapston James!

I have to say that Purse was excellent in every respect all the time he was at Whitworths and he did play a part in last seasons triumphs if only minor like so many others. He didnt turn up to get his medal though . Always very supportive and good luck to him at Thrapston

Purse was disillusioned with things after he stepped in for a few games ,did not a lot wrong and got dropped. This was the managers decision and at the end of the season whitworths won the league. Its all about winning not being popular. Managers make tough decisions. Jimmys comments on Patto. Bet his club would have him.

So, we're well over a month into the season and who's been shining? The first team and reserves both seem to have had early season jitters but are just about turning the corner. Who's been carrying the fight for each team? Have the new signings paid off? Have the younger players from last season stepped up to the the plate? Has the inconsistency been down to injury, unavailability and people being ars#holes? Who has shone for each side? Like to hear from Figo or Muzza.
