I was advised yesterday by a representative from the Football Foundation that Whitworths application for funds to develop the ground was successful........letter in the post.
Specifically, Floodlights, 100 seater stand, Solid Boundary fencing and Hard standing on all 4 sides.

Very convenient news , certainly wouldn't be the first time this trick has been used
Like someone mentioned it's been a bad week with players leaving and your gaffe in the junior cup to top .
Had to pull a rabbit out of the hat , desperate times for your club .
I hope this letter in the post arrives this time , or the sandcastle will drown this time for sure
I predict ( from what i hear from players ) that if this " funding issue etc etc etc " is another smokescreen
Short term gain but long term gain
Then your club is finished
They have heard it all before and it's the stench of Whitworths
JJ ,
Can you then catergorically confirm to all people with an interest that Whitworths football club will definatley have lights for the start of next season ?

Don't have to put the kiss of death on this one
It's a dream already buried alive
The Whitworths Grave - yard , where good players go to die

Outragious SS for you to question my credibility. It has taken best part of 2 years to get to this stage and it has been bloody hard work on my own to do that. I cannot answer for any promises made by other people but I can categorically tell you that I was contacted by the Football Foundation yesterday to advise that our application was successful and I would receive their offer in the post in 3 to 5 days. Only down side was that they did not agree 200 seats knocking the application back to 100 seats................what the hell am I explaining myself to you for, I dont owe you or anyone else an explanation and i certainly didnt see anyone else knocking down doors to get the funding that includes monies for Floodlighting

Why are you explaining yourself then JJ ?
Do not question your credibility for one minute but do know how you all fall under figo's spell
Also know you would do anything to save your club
Including this latest yarn

Not under any spell from Figo but if you were the manager then you would get the same freedom to run the club, which I happen to think is a good thing. As for yarn, I have never pulled such a con trick and never would, in fact i would walk away before doing that. As for players, they come and go, pass through, get replaced by younger guns, and if the players we have chose to believe your take, that this is a setup then so be it.........

Looking for a scoop eh......................not for you lad.
Regardless of whether the lights are up or not my role was to get the funding and once I have the letter in my hand (good job you are not a postie because I know you would destroy it for more mischief) then my job is done. Have plenty of other issues in my life as you well know that I would like to comit more time to but didnt want to let anyone down and with this out of the way then I may have those choices. Never say never but at least I will be free to make the choices

It's not going to happen then by the sounds of it ?
Don't be so cynical of me JJ , im just being curious and interested ?
Id like to see your club up to standard , it would be a shame otherwise
But my source at the council tells me that it is never going to happen
We both know this to be true

Ooch source at the council...............not sure what that means considering they granted the planning permission or are you now saying it was a weeze by your mate because now they will withdraw it? As for Funding, you may not be aware (hard to believe to be honest) but before they waste their time taking an application to committee they check with local FA and Local council. Once they are satisfied that the correct docs are in place then they proceed with a technical evaluation. If happy they make an offer......takes a long time, ask Thrapston, Irchester and now Whitworths Be interested to talk to your source at the council though........guess that wont happen though, just another unexploding bomb you have chucked in

No bomb , i assure you
Not a mate either .
So you backtrack one minute and it's back on the next
Are you saying then that that work including floodlights will be done before the start of next season ?
You will stake your credibility and reputation on the line ?
