Could be a defining game this season, as these top 2 sides go head to head. Whitworth Champions home to Daventry Town unbeaten this season in the league and possibly the highest payers also it is alledged. Whitworths to win for me as they did on both occasions last season! and gap back to 3

Dav first team didnt have a game on Sat but pretty much all of them had a run in reserves so they should be fresh.
My money is on Whitworths 3-1.

Should be a great game by the sounds of it, still sticking by my predication that Whitworths will win the league. Had a chat with Ex Whitworths stopper Phil Turner on saturday as he was playing for Raunds against us at Sleaford, good to see him again, smashing fella.

I would say whits the freshest from not having a game and i have to say the players don't think they can be beaten again this season especially now they are comitted to sticking together and have a settled side. 3 -1 sounds good to me

Big game no doubt between 2 good sides - heart says Whitworths but head says a draw or Daventry - can only go on my limited exposure to both sides and they were like chalk and cheese. Mind you we turned up at Whitworths but not Daventry when I also make a hash of the team selection, so who knows?

I hope your heart is right Tommy and you should not be so hard on yourself. PNS were excellent against us, really good football, just missing a bit up front to be fair at that time

Arrrr thats nice and cosy Tommyc and JJ !!!
What is this rubbish
Where my heart is ?
Don't be so hard on yourself ?
Mills and ******* Boon would be proud of this literature
Get a grip man
We all want teams to win or lose to suit our own requirements all of the time , now and in every season
End of , so why don't you all stop pretending to be big mates when really you look at the scores every week and hope each other lose
Gay lords

Whitworths survived the early season Scully on - slaught in front and behind the scenes ( figo will catch that drift )
They are settling down now and i fully expect them to catch Dav and romp the league , like i said they always would
The manager has changed the formation to a back four and is playing more of a 4 - 3 - 2 out wide ( duff & robben ) with 1 up top
Very shrewd , keeps all his best players in their positons and shores up a back line that was unstable and unsettled
Back to basics , have a look at the opposition , sneak a few wins while a couple of the reserves from last season adapt to the level , wait for other top money sides to slip up and go tits up
Whitworths have stability and thats the key to them winning not only this game but the league
They also have a manager who thinks on his feet and im sure he will agree , learnt so much from me
We will never work together again , but he knew how to handle me and get the best out of me and only Rob Dunion was another guy who done that
Great managers , but i am better

Perhaps figo will jack it ? Ive never been beaten by such a score line , so not sure how bad it feels Think years ago , i was beaten by 3 clear goals , then again cant be sure on that Think it's only ever been 2 Beaten by 6 clear goals , thats alot Suggests to me alot of negative side dishes I think Figo should quit , so then when i get sacked from corinthians reserve team in the mighty rd2 , he can come and be my number 2 at Raunds ... Bella , Skip , Figo

Whitworths got absolutly mauled. Daventry were fitter, stronger and hungrier. Without out doubt, on that form, worthy league champs. Clearly money can bring success and it looks well spent. That is providing that the team sticks together and doesnt break up. It would be interesting to hear what Daventry Town's long term plans are? I mean, how high do they want to go? As for Whitworths, although the result is an eye opener, it isnt the end of the world. Still top three and shouldnt be ashamed of losing to a great side( could of put up more of a fight maybe). These teams do come into div 1 with money and get/buy success. It is a shame that there isnt a 'no money allowed' clause until the prem. Im sure this is up for debate and I definately could be wrong. Anyhow, well done Dav, great value, good team.

Makes our 2-0 loss to Dav Town look better and we matched them for 80 minutes. I think Whitworths title hopes or even promotion must look bleak after that.
