BB, I do feel a little loyalty would not go amiss in the game andfeel the grass is not always greener on the other side. I do however take SS point, he assembled a side he felt could do a job for him in the close season. Nobody is signed for anybody and players go where they want. They must have wanted to play for him. Now its gone wrong and the lads are coming back. I do hope the managers of any club, while the attraction of an influx of players is attractive, remember the lads that are already there doing nothing wrong and give them a chance.

Pringle & BB , i agree and disagree with alot of it and will fight my corner again in a moment !!! It's what i love doing !!! What i would say that without any of these things happening then there would be no real interesting talking points for guys like us that are past playing ( well i still have a top draw 20 min cameo in me ) In my opinion and possibly my defence ( although i dont need one , but because I'm someone who takes responsibility will accept and provide one ) is that the boys who wanted to join me at Corinth's were lads that no longer wanted to play for Joe and maybe a little fed up at whits also ( this happens ) Ollie - Fed up at being overlooked when Joe was in dire straits for a centre back at the end of last season and was out everywhere looking for one rather than putting ollie in Macca - left b4 Xmas last season cos Joe played sarge in a 1st team game Crossy - Realized that patto was always going to be number1 , chance came up at Corinth's and he took it Fitz / Pete - Both enjoyed whits but couldn't keep the travel up and the club in the loop b4 last season ended Dev - contacted me out of the blue recently to say he was unhappy And of course i signed alot of Corby boys to All this stuff is standard in football and will not change a dot because of this discussion I told the first to lads at the top of the list at the beginning , that no matter what happened it would be a learning curve for them They will tell you that and they will you that it has been , for many different reasons that will now perhaps benefit whits fc Having said that , things change quickly in football especially in a players mind An issue over selection is usually the most common cause of disgruntlement !!! And every manager walks a tightrope ( these days anyway ) when he makes a judgment call Right or wrong I'm not sure , depends upon the individual circumstances i suppose What i do know for sure and this for certain , i have a fantastic relationship with players because deep down they know i put their interest before my own , unless their a bunch of winkers !!! It could have worked fantastically , i still believe that but someone somewhere didn't want it to Which is odd , cos i was assured b4 i joined the club that rivaling a team like whits on the pitch was the target / agenda I set out on a mission to do that , but people chickened out and decided that coming 10th or so every season was the way its always been and the way they liked it I couldn't have done or tried any harder with the original remit BB , the info led to me eliminating people from my line of inquiry's !!! I always get my man and i now know who you are

I didn't say that yes it has gone wrong for me and i believe long term the club ( in terms of ever winning div1 ) , but it has not for the players as they are all still wanted to stay and play in the 1st team squad at corinths like they were doing and like i said and promised ( apart from macca that they would be ) But because of the diabolical decision made , most have decided not to play for them anymore Perhaps those lads are more loyal than you realise , i have certainly felt very humbled by alot of them Makes me think i was doing something right for them

Thank you for your replies and especially your differing perspectives. It makes a change to have a civil debate doesnt it?

Defo , think you will find I'm a real civil guy if you actually look closer . Decent debate , shame it's just been the 3 plus jj , like you said when you began thread it would be interesting to hear from all involved I certainly would have , i got nothing to hide whatsoever and would have like to know where i went wrong Cos the way i and others see it is , that Corinth's had a chance in a lifetime opportunity to compete either this season or next couple to seriously challenge for the league The first team have won their last couple and they stand a decent chance of winning junior cup , also their ressies could get promoted into ressy1 But winning div1 or the chance to win it has gone forever defo under the current regime and possibly a long long time Its a shame , i just don't get it Have had many people contacting me , talking etc etc and i still don't get it ... Go football , try to develop everything around you for the better , working / striving to be better . Improving all players , winning games , meeting new people with new ideas , build team spirit , teach young players many important value's , agreements , disagreements , opinions , all wanting to be better , competing , good times , bad times , more good times , some ******* great times , getting there , doing a job , DOING THE JOB , get to the bizness end , doing the bizness !!! ******* weird man , i must be on a different planet if this is not the case Very ******* weird situation

well as BB stated, shame more have not joined the debate. Obviously we don't know all that went on at RC and it is not our business either but it does seem that SS has alot of support and only in the last week I have had players saying how hard done by the boy was..............brings tears to your eyes really never had that kind of support, but never done me any harm either. I am confused though because things were not done right and you either stick to your principles or you do as you are told and I see SS as a principles man so must take some responsibility..........sorry m8 just the way I see it, though to end up leaving the club on the surface may seem harsh. That said RC still grinding out results so doing well and we are looking forward to seeing them Saturday, especially as we are not in the greatest form ourselves. You should visit SS, I am sure Mrs H will knock you up a cup of T in her new urn

Big game for both teams this weekend.
For me its Corinths to win, even with some people leaving recently. Whitworths seem pretty depleted.

Yeah I'm told she misses me , reckon it's cos i was the only person who would stand talking to her for 20 Min's about footy - same wavelength !!! Think ill give it a miss , got to be somewhere else on sat I may be missing div1 out altogether . Anyway the game , should be close - Corinth's not conceded in 2 ( about time ) and whitworths conceding alot , Whitworths scoring for fun and Corinth's not Pick the bones out of that Good luck both sides , ill go for 1 - 1

Not really my place to be saying , but ill tell you what i know
Dev is back at whits already of course
Ollie (suspended anyway) and macca getting sorted out soon .
Im pleased to say that from my point of veiw all the boys involved in the " what next for the view " almost all sorted with one club or another , so really pleased about that
I always take responsability for those i feel responsable for .
Willie Straiton not yet sorted as he is currently moving house ( to little harrowden ) but will be free to play at the end of january ?
He is will be free of commitments and has / is able to attend training then and next season ?

SS, A disturbing thought has just crossed my mind.
The way you are pushing Willie Straiton, Have you become an agent?? Mr 60%, Will we see you in a new Aston ,will your previous comments on these pages be published into a best seller. Fame at last!!!!

Ha crossed my mind too !!!
No not pushing anyone , just trying to make sure all the lads that thought i was treated poorly have somewhere to play football
Options at - least anyway .
Even though , i have had several offers to return to footy including a seriously tasty one this week it's unlikely ill do anything until at - least next season and even then i may not
Infact the Corinth's thing prob a blessing in disguise as my lad goes to senior school next year and i want to spend a proper year or 2 with him before he comes a grumpy teenager who doesn't want to be seen with the old man anymore !!!
He is also doing really well at football himself and is currently doing some work with Aston Villa
He recently spent a week at the David Beckham Academy in London after being chosen especially , so i think i need to be keeping on top of that
With ref to Wille , I'm not sure how far harrowden to bugbrooke is but i will let him know all interested parties anyway
I'm not his agent , but he will go where i recommend !!!
For those that don't know Wille , he is 32 , plays up front or in behind , he is also a fantastic sweeper
Cheers

Well he did enjoy his one game for Whits last season.........got a trick and then let one of the subs have a go. He is always welcome back and I will build his move into my planner ha ha
True Dev back, Craig gone to Spencer, young Lee given the rest of the season to see what he has really got, macca dont know and Ollie suspended but both still Corinthians boys.
