As a neutral I decided to take this game in yesterday.
I thought both teams were poor in defence and a draw was about the right result at the final whistle.
Both teams seemed to struggle with the bobbly pitch (why haven't the Club sorted this out?) although neither showed enough quality to suggest they will finish any higher than mid-table this season.
One point of note was the constant stream of abuse aimed towards the officials from the Huntingdon manager. I will admit that the team of officials had a far from perfect game but whatever happened to the 'respect' initiative teams were supposed to be showing this year? - the Huntingdon manager should look at his own team before casting his eye elsewhere.
The constant use of both the 'F' and 'C' word from the Huntingdon manager tainted an otherwise pleasant afternoon in the sunshine at Jubilee Park. This man needs to realise that if the Club is to attract the family types then this behaviour needs to be kept firmly in check.

Sounds like you could grow your £1m grant quite quickly with the introduction of a swearbox! ;D ;D
It's a red if it denies a clear goalscoring opportunity.
I think you can get your reserve fixture postponed if the club have three or more regular players on County duty.

Huntingdons manager is a complete idiot!!! why did he make his team shake hands with irchester before the game if he was going to behave like that?!?!?!?
The ref didnt send the goalie off because there were two defenders behind him to cover the shot (which was a tame effort and never would have made the goal anyway)!!!
And how did your first goal stand when Garvie was clearly 5 yards offside??!?! we didnt hear you moaning about that!! did we?!??

MB your excuse about 8 players is a poor one i'm afraid to say. If your first team and your ressies are genuinely dependent upon your under 18s then county rules state that if you have 2 or more players from your squad then you can call your game off. Now if you did not know this rule then i suggest you get some dialogue going with you club secretary.
However, what i will tell you is that my club will be putting in an official complaint to the FA as a player who is registered with your club, played for the county on Sunday and also played for Arlesey on Saturday and even scored the winner for them.
Hope that doesnt make your blood boil too much!
I'm also a bit suprised that you stated 8 players for the county as we had 5 and when i spoke to the county manager today he said he struggled to get a squad together as he only had 14 players. Now bearing in mind that he had 2 St ives players(1 of whom he also let play for his club on Saturday) 1 from Eynesbury 1 from Yaxley and Blackstones where were your players.
Please please dont tell me that you included Jamie Osborne in that 8 ....cos thats another story isnt it?

MB please dont be so patronising .....let me ask you a question then
why did you sign a player who openly says he wont play for your club but he wanted to sign for a team within the county purely so he could play for hunts county as he doesnt live in the county.
This is the same player whose local side wont touch him for reasons known to a select few. This is the same club that won the uclprem and reserve league last season and also finished runners up in thier under 18 league last season....what does that tell you
I turned the same player down this season ....i'm not doubting he is a good player but what are his motives for signing for Huntingdon
More to the point 'What are yours for signing him' dont tell me you feel you have a moral duty to help a young lad trying to get on. Why oh why would you sign a player who says he wont ever play for you ...furnish us with your infinite wisdon on this decision....i'm intrigued!
maybe ontheball is right about you I'd like to think not
dont drag yourself down to his level on here in calling me jealous deprived or whatever else you want to drag yourself down to, be a man ....if you had a problem with what i said you could have spoke to me about it tonight at the under 18 game
please dont let me and the rest of us on here with some common sense think that OTB is right about you ...i'd like to think you are better than that!
anyway enough said i hope you turn things round up there this season .... but look further than the end of your nose yes i do take it personal whan the county tell my players they cant play in the FA cup for St neots yet they allow another to
smacks of double standards really oris that how you run your team
