are they going to change their name to Little Buckby ?.... I thought 'Short' was the opposite of 'Long' not 'Little' so shouldn't that be 'Short Buckby'? Come on Rabbit, keep up! Maybe that perch you are sitting on, along with the cold ice cream has made your head go dizzy?

Phoenix rabbits do not sit on perches and they certainly do not 'sit on fences' so whatever you want to call it, it is ok by me. Shame about the players from little/short Buckby perhaps they will now all go and play kick boxing !!!!!!!!

Charlie, you've got no chance of developing this subject unless you can convince everyone that Long Buckby is in Lincolnshire! My understanding of Mitchell moving to LB is it's NOT for money reasons.

very true luggs , fair play to mitchell if so . just he a quality striker who could earn a decent wage . and with buckby being a club with a very good backer you would of thought the offer would of been a good one . lets hope they have just more than the one backer as it could destroy the club if he has pulled out as im sure a lot of the players over there are there for the better wage.

He stated that he wanted a chance at winning the League - that would rule out Desborough currently, I would think.

Desborough are going through a season of change as I'm sure everyone realises. The management and coaches are great and one day soon everything will click into place-in the meantime the development of the squad continues apace and I am personally very, very pleased with the signings of John Mitchell, Chris Caswell and Jamie Gilsenan. All three are quality,attack-minded players. Backed up with other recent signings, plus the players we already have the squad is strengthening on a weekly basis. Desborough Town is about patience with exciting times around the corner-and I don't mean just for the remainder of this season. Believe me, we are working to a medium to long-term plan where results in the short-term are a bonus.
