I hear Carl Gibbs is back at PNS? Always thought he would be at some stage this season. Big boost. Gedge back on the wing maybe?

He played for Alconbury the other week, i guess to get some fitness as he's been injured.
He wasnever going to make it at Stamford. If he wanted to take a step up, he should have tried his luck at Deeping, Bourne etc... first.

He was in the Stamford team and scoring goals before he got injured Andy. Him missing (and rookie manager) was main reason I didn't think PNS would win league this year. With him they might get close to Irchester....but not close enough!!!!

Karl Gibbs has indeed returned to PNS this week, though he remains registered with Stamford. You can never say never, though they now have a lot of forward players. Karl was desparately unlucky to get injured having seen off the competition at the time and was in the team and scoring goals - lets hope we can give him another shot at that level with PNS at some point?

I hear Deeping will be trying for Gibbs too. C&G it was not about Gibbs trying at a better level, injury kept him out. He is good enough for Stamford. Paul is off to St Neots.

Thanks Ian - seems most people enjoyed themselves on Monday.
We have still got a lot of work to do though to get the facilities where we ultimately want to get to and it is blooming hard work but we shall try and persevere. At least the GH's gave the crowd a boost, which was around our average of 85, so not sure Bank Holiday games are that great for us, though we were in competition with Posh. Noticed they stayed away from "Old Gits" row at the changing room end at Chestnut Ave and were down the side of the pitch - it's a far better view from there anyway!
Not sure about this Ground Hopper thing generally though and bods on the site - all seems very nice and harmless enough on the outside but could this be a cover for a sinister cult? - how do you know when you have met one? - do they have a badge or shake their rattle in a particular way - 1 swing clockwise - 2 anti-clockwise?

A big congrats to Seamus Morgan, Mark Appleyard and the stiffs. They reached their 2nd cup final yesterday. Having already secured a place in the County Cup final they beat ON Chenecks 4-2 to reach the League Cup final in their first season in the top division. Goalscorers were Josh Moreman with a hat-tick with the other coming from his teenage strike partner Luke Watkins. This was despite playing for an hour with 10 men after Carl Harper had been sent off for a professional foul. Quite a turn around for a side that went bottom of the table on September 12th after a 10-1 away defeat at Stotfold!
