pns managed a 4-3 win against a stamford team with 1 ex player in the squad the impressive karl gibbs from last season pns was dominate thorughout the game with a few kicks off the ball in area's but never mind was a good game and pns deserved the win not sure the manager was too happy after the game(stamford) but hey we all have to come down a peg or 2 just likes of sleaford town the week before pns did have 2 chances against the crossbar and the post in the first half but all in all gr8 game and crowd

Chipsandgravy - watched the game last night and it was an entertaining game for the neutral. But why are you haveing a cheap pop at Korkmaz? The guy brings his team down to do you guys a favour and you come out with "we all have to come down a peg or two" bad form and childish mate!

honestref - i've given up trying to understand his ramblings. Hopefully, PNS will put a leash on his ramblings and leave the publicity to Tommy.

Tommy's points are very valid - there's been a handfull of us trotting out similar stuff to leagues and FA's for a couple of years now - albeit not in the public forum.
Many will know my personal views about the state of the game and the multitude of reasons for it, some of which are solvable in th eshort term some in the medium and longer term and some never. Part of the problem is the "thuggery" and loutish behaviour that has always been there post war. I can remember as a teenager standing in London Road screaming at the ref and challenging his parentage and eating habits. I can remember shouting horrible swear words things at the opposition players, and feeling great about it. It's always been there, football is a release for the emoional stuff - it's just got out of hand and become a cult fashion. And that's a key reason why football's declining - it's not popular with the mass populus who would perhaps love to go and enjoy a game, have a bit of banter and even let off a bit of steam. But it's gone too far.
Back in the 70's it was almost unheard of in non-league or Saturday/Sunday local leagues to learn of a referee getting physically assaulted or supporters attacking players or officials. Now it seems a regular occurrence or is it that news travels much more quickly and widely these days?
In my opinion, we don't need another committee or body (even though I'd be happy to participtate in one) we need the proper values reinstilling and enforcing. Until that happens from the top down - forget it.
The new "Respect" campaign has excellent objectives and has made major inroads, but until referees start to consitently apply the rules with conviction, it will take more years than I have left! It won't stop me trying though!

I'm not having a pop at anyone was just saying that sometimes when ya up there in leagues alot higher than the opposition the team alot better are favorites to win i was just saying they came down a peg or two thats no disrespect to them has they had a good game and has a neutral it was very entetaining and I'm sure if you ask kormaz about the game he would have his own opinion about the game honest-ref /andy this is a site where everyone has there opinion if ya dint like my ramblings has you say don't read them

Sorry C&G, it don't matter what you say ... any way you read it, it is a cheap pop so stand up and admit it.
You can ramble as much as you like mate - it's your right and privalege. But if you put some grammar and punctuation into your ramblings, maybe then they wouldn't be ramblings and not sound like things you claim you don't mean. What is it Meerkat says? "Simples" ...

C&G is a top lad from Gods own country who "writes it as he says it" and we can't understand half of what he says either!
Was a really good fast paced entertaining game that was of great benefit to both sides. We actually surprised ourselves by how much we wanted to win what was after all a friendly, but that is testament to the respect that a club like Stamford are held and what a feather in our gap we consider a win over what was a strong side.
136 is not a huge number, but from small acorns and all that and I can't see back in our records that we have had a higher attendance, so that augurs well for future midweek floodlit footie at Chestnut Avenue.
Back to more important business of promotion and hopefully finally beating bogey side Whitworths at home on Saturday
