We are playing so well at the moment it is ridiculous. I am off out in a moment to buy the metal polish for the trophy!!!!! In all seriousness was looking forward to the game yesterday but what a non event. Pat & Pal when will you ever learn? ?? In over 10 years as a management duo you had 1 good year and have finished mid-table at best the rest of the time but you keep trawling the same old deadwood around with you from club to club. This has got to be your last chance at this level and please, please, please put your faith in local talent which will make you more popular at Hunts and mean you do not have to look at your watch at 2.30 every Saturday and wonder if your players are going to turn up. A lot of my posts are wind ups. This is not. Everyone tells me your a good man Pat and you deserve better.

Irchester are a very good side and if you keep the same players will continue to be. Not as one sided as you suggest, but Irchester were worthy winners. Paul Caswell is a class act, as is hackett at the back. Carl made a top draw save in the 1st half at 0-0, and we also fluffed a couple of one on ones due to some super defending. A touch of futune for your 1st goal, but excellently taken by Caswell. and a super 2nd goal too. We managed to get back to 2-1 in the 2nd half, but a more then dodgey pen killed of any outside chances of nicking a point. We were chasing the game and gambled by taking off a defender and you got 2 injury time goals. Our deadwood play for free and like you we also had 4 missing from our game against Thrapston. So what did you think CK? about the play that is? how about a fair approach on that rather then trying to slate us? By Your above post it would seem that you was not there as that above post is way off the mark? The Irchester players and bence conducted themselves well and are a good bunch who deserve to win this Division. They could do without foolish idiots like you trying to get everyones backs up. We have been together as a management team 4 seasons not 10. Had a very successful one at PSL before getting offered the chance to manage in the UCL, and still remain the only non UCL side to win the Les Underwood County cup in the last 25 years. We are under no pressure at Huntingdon and the club are doing things the right way by getting the ground completed and upto standard. The first team and the Reserve teams are one club working together, and we had 5 local lads playing against you with other locals lads unavailable to play.

Thought you had moved on after admitting making a fool of yourself Funny how both you and CorbyKen were not there yesterday ;D Which is quite clear as Ken forgot to mention the red card Clearly would have mentioned that if he had been there right? what with all the gloating Respect for the quility side that you have paid for at Irchester, which is something i do not knock you for, as we would all love to be able to afford the players you have there. Your assistant did a good honest job while you were away, but to be fair Sponge Bob could manager a side that good and still win. ;D ;D ;D I hope that the Irchester back room boys do have the drive to get into the prem, but looking at the place yesterday its a million miles away. Changing rooms are way to small, shocking officals room, no walkway, Cricket wickets far to close to the football pitch. Yeah you are right about doing the talking on the pitch, no arguement there as you are the clear winner, but at what personal cost? The wise man would have spent the money getting the standards sorted, then spent his life saving on the team. Would be such a waste if after your doing so much and spending so much of your personal money to get the ground inprovements done, thats if they ever get done, only to watch someone else take over as managers do come and go at all clubs including Huntingdon. Its almost Christmas and you still have not got planning or started any work on the ground yet. You will win the league but will you have the same side and money next season to play in UCL Division 1 again? Tell Ken to forget buying metal polish and buy a cement mixer instead ;D

Pat - you gobbed off all season, excuse after excuse, blah, blah, blah, you came to irchester and went away with your tails between your legs, am bored of your negativity thanks for the inadvertant compliment about my carefully constructed squad i know it pains you to think that my lads just love playing and winning for me, without a large dent in my pocket ... so whatever makes you feel better As a manager all you can do is put a team together and hope to win each game as it comes... just seems mine is a little more carefully constructed than yours. Wish you all the best in the season (excuses aside)

i also hear that my son was a good stand in for me giving your team (well most of the lads that you had to try and stop him) a good run around.... not bad for someone who according to you "isnt good enough for this league"

Gobbed off about what? winning the league? There has been no excuses from me at all. Nicky is a very good player, as has been stated on here by me in the past, so can not think where you got that one from?. He had a very good game and did give us the run around quite abit. Do not understand how he was a good stand in for you? as he was playing? See you next season my friend.

Pat - I don't know you but judging by your recent posts you seem a very bitter man to me!
Re your post regarding our ground
1. How is the cricket square to close to the pitch? There is more than the required run off between the edge of the pitch and the cricket square.
2. The changing rooms are of an adequate size, I dont know what sort of kinky sex games you like to play with your team in there before a game but our boys just prefer to get changed and get on the pitch, for this they are perfectly big enough! (They sure beat the portacabins you used to have at Huntingdon which didnt even have working showers the last time I played there!)

I am not interested in getting involved with the debate between Pat and Daren so please do not see this post as that.
Loz I would not get your hopes up about the ground just yet, it is not us on this forum you have to sell it to but the UCL, the committee that refused PNS promotion because their lights were 5 days late.
I am afraid your dressing rooms will be to small as there is a directive on size requirements I think it is 16 square feet but am probably wrong, however someone here will know. Anyway when you do get all the big things done and think you are there you get given another list to complete. We at BSMFC were lucky to get many grants and we are very proud of our facilities now but we still have an unfinished UCL requirement list.
The annoying thing is many Div 1 facilities are now far superior to many Prem team facilities, but if you have not crossed the t's and dotted the I's you are not getting promoted, and all this work has to be complete before the UCL dead line day.

Thanks for the heads up tad, just had a look at the dressing room requirements for Step 4 and 5, existing changing rooms only have to be 12 square metres but any new ones built need to be 18.
Home one is fine on that score, but better get the tape measure out in the away dressing room!!

The post about your ground is correct, how is that being bitter? Even the portacabins at Huntingdon were better then your small changing rooms, but the cabins were before my time there. All i see is a more then decent Huntingdon set up, which was the aim before spending on the team. Your away changing room is poor, thats a fact, like it or not. Cold, grubby, small and way below standard. However the boys who run the club are a decent bunch, who were totally respectful towards us. I entered the Officals room, which was filled will clutter. As the Cricket season over laps the football season it would seem that the boundary would cover half the football pitch. As a 3 sided pitch, would that be with the walkway behind the far goal? if so you would have to make the pitch smaller then it already is. My dispute with Darren is nothing to do with how Irchester is run or my observations of Alfred St, and is not an attack on Irchester Utd. But you can take how you like. Darren started the slagging to which he admitted and said how foolish he was on the prem thread and had moved on. The truth is that when ever Darren/Ken has a pop at me or our club then i will fight back. If you do not like that then well TOUGH COOKIE.
This was started yet again by CorbyKen/DY slating us and our deadwood players when he was not even there. I replied by adding that the Irchester side is top draw at a cost, which is true, but i also said all managers wish they could have the same money wise to build a great side too. After the game all our deadwood players shoke hands with all the Irchester players, as did our management. Our manager walking over to Nicky Young and shoke his hand and told him what a great game he had.

There you go again with this Corby ken stuff again, His comments recently are far too exaggerated and over confident, if you knew me, which you dont!! you would know that i look at games as they come and never take anything for granted, if this chap has an opinion then its his opinion, hes entitled to it just as you are Pat. As for your players, Edwards, Graham, Furnace, Lingy, Pecker, Foggy, Speno etc I have nothing but respect for them
As for Huntingdon, I wish you, Al and the club all the best because your under 18,s coming through will be awesome in a few years and thats the way forward for you, you can quote me on that!!
Im not interested in what you have to say about me, the club or its prospects, Im loving my football at this time , as you found out on sat!! and Iv have moved on like i said......
