There is a rumour going round that players who have played in the FA Trophy for Step 3/4 clubs cannot play in the FA Vase for Step 5/6 clubs.
The FA Competitions dept issued the following on an email to clubs on 11th November for clarification.
Player Qualification
A number of Clubs seem to be under the impression that by playing in The FA Trophy a player can then not play for another Club in the same Season in The FA Vase or vice versa. This is NOT the case as the two competitions are NOT linked, also by playing in the FA Cup a player can still play in the Trophy or Vase for another Club. Any advice received from County or League Officials contrary to the above should not be accepted.
Lets hope this is the end of the misinformed rumours!!
