Not having a dig ff i asked a question DY replied with a good answer that made me laugh. Not got a problem with him i think he is doing a smashing job at irchie and think they made a great decision in bringing him to the club. other clubs must be kicking themselves. But back to the link dont right Pns off great club great players and will go to the end.

Yeah fair enough. Just the Daren Young bashing is a tad (where has he gone ) boring. Daren is decent bloke. Agree 100% about PNS not writing them off at all, just think Tommy is the main man there and is too good a manager to be sitting in the stand on a Saturday afternnoon even if his notes are interesting. All depends what the plan is i suppose.

Here I am. I dont have a viewpoint (or a care) who CK is! and a wise man once said to me "if you have nothing interesting to add keep your mouth shut" and every thread recently seems to go to that subject within 3-4 posts. Hence my lack of responses. PNS slaughtered us, and we played well! so I have to think they will do well, Thrapston have been quietly going about their business and have sneaked in to a contender position, and DY has certainly changed Irchesters fortunes and are in a very strong position. It is too early to write off Eynesbury who also will be pushing for promotion. But there is still 2/3rds of the season left and a lot of football to be played, and as I am always the optimist I want/expect BSMFC to win the title and get promoted and as they say I dont hear no fat lady singing yet. However like BPW we do not pay even 1p to any player, so we have to realise we have a slightly tougher fight. I guess if we come up short again this season we as a club may have to review this, but like DY says money helps but first and foremostly you have to love this game and like you all, me and my players do with a passion. I do like DY aswell (despite the fact he can talk as much bs as me and you ff) which is another reason I have not joined in some of these DY bashing threads. My only concern with what DY has brought to Irchester and to be fair other managers before him (Tommy for 1) is that people may see this as a new way forward and if BSMFC see it that way and look to the manager to fund the players I guess I am on my way back to the reserve management team. I cant see my wife allowing me to remortgage my house to fund Mr Knowles drinking habits. As for my thoughts on the PNS management, I think Tommy is a superb manager and he is wasted if he is not managing a football team. That is no reflection on Chris who has tons of experiance. I cannot say if being a player/manager at this level is a handicap as I was never good enough to play at this level, but I would think that it is a disadvantage not to be able to step back and look at and contemplate the bigger picture sometimes during the 90 mins, most importantly when you are defensively under the cosh which is when CP has to concentrate on his own game most. Anyway it is not that I dont care if PNS retain the title, or Irchester, Thrapston or Eynesbury win it, it is just I will be doing everything within my power to stop the lot of you finishing higher than me and I still have 20 games to do that in. Now it is my birthday and I am off to get rat faced

Thrapston are very well organised (as you would expect with the managers experience) with bags of energy and no little ability. The night I saw them draw at home with Sileby I reported back that they would cause us problems with their style of play (oops!!!). In terms if winning the league I felt they lacked a bit of experience and still think that.
They were more impressive that night than Irchester, who were losing to ONC but Irchester did enough to show they were going to be our main challengers with a really good blend. We will naturally lose 1 of our games against Mr Lenihan & Co as usual and so may have to beat Irchester twice if we are to retain the title.
Sending Vince & ChipsnGravy incoqnito to watch the game today, though they might struggle to remain "incoqnito", particularly if it rains and sends their respective hair dyes running down the side of their faces!

I would still back PNS to win it even though I hear Irchester beat Thrapston 4-0 at Thrapston. Not by ten points as I predicted at start of season. Irchester are looking really good and credit to Daren. (He doesnt get enough in my opinion just because he throws a few quid around, still got to get the right players and blend.) Lets hope it goes down to the wire. Hopefully Thrapston will be in the mix but I think its a two horse race.

One horse race for me i have seen a bit of Irchester and thapston this year and Darren has the much better side, my mind was made up when i saw them beat what looked a very good Eynsbury side 3-0. The only thing that can stop them is Darren running out of dosh or Corby suicide neither are beyond the realms of possibility. PNS are not the side they were, I agree with FF they seem to have lost that invincibility and the only big change now at the club is tommy c sitting in the stand. Thrapston are organized but do lack that something to win the league.

Anyone else want to jump on the Roman bandwagon after another romp? ? Should have been 6 or 7 and we were in a class of our own. !!!!! As for PNS - oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. I am a postman by trade and a friend of mine was out with a few of them in Peterboro Saturday and was told the team weren't paid last week? What is going on Vince, C&G, Tommyc. Is the dream dying?

Their aim is promotion, which i'm sure they will get. Rubbish about expenses not being paid. Tommy is an honest bloke. The money never last at most UCL sides as the past has seen many times before. But for as long as Tommy is involved at PNS, then they will have a steady budget fitting for the level they play at.

corbykenneth..just been looking at your recent posts.
Do you ever try and say anything constructive on your posts or do you just constantly try and antagonise people by making derogatory and provoking comments. I smile everytime you write something now as its SOOOOO predictable. Thank God its xmas soon. Your post bag might get bigger and heavier and it might just keep you out on the streets a bit longer and off this forum.. ho ho ho!!!!!

Not sure I really need to respond CK (and agree you are a wind up merchant), but before the rumour mill goes into overdrive.....
PNS have moved bank account in the past 2 weeks and as transfer of funds was apparently taking place last Tuesday, players are getting paid this week instead - end of!
