There was 2 striker, Jimmy Dean and Ben Porter. Michael Goode, although good enough for Deeping and many other UCL 1st teams, hasn't played 1st team at Deeping for weeks.

Who's upset Corby Ken again very aggreseive in his approach. Its only a forum and everyone are entitled to their opinions.
I will agree with you though for outplaying Deeping 1st team in pre season, I wasnt there but didnt it end up 1-1. They couldnt win for love nor money at the start of the season, but im glad to say for local football they continue to be the shining light that all local clubs look up to in the league. Maybe PNS will take that crown next year or could itbe Eynesbury.

So Deeping's results picked up when all the lads that weren't good enough at Stamford came crawling back?
Bircham, Stephens, Bettinson, Stevenson. And no doubt another £5 a week started Paul scoring a bit more.

Andy
Good effort mate but thats factually incorrect.
Deeping 1sts had a slow start when knitting a new side together. But after a few games they became a steady footballing side winning alot of games. The Stamford lads came back when the winning streak and good team performances were already established.
What they actually did was make a very good footballing side even better. So yes Stamfords loss was very much Deepings gain and all the lads you have named have been 1st class and are enjoying there football

So the Stamford lads walked straight in to a winning side?

I think the post has gone a little off track this is about a PNS 1st team who played 8-10 of their players against a Deeping reserve side and were lucky to win. If we want to talk about Deeping 1st team and doubt them, we should really do it in the PREMIER DIVISION sub folder not DIV 1.
Im sure we can all carry on the debate and the pro's and con's of Deeping and their success this season new players/ ex players who ever whatever.
Get back to the post on here ladies and gents. Keep smiling it will soon be cricket season!!

I've been told by a PNS player that played on the night that it definitely was the Reserve manager in the stand!!?
Very strange. Seems to me the only logical reason he would want to watch from the sideline as opposed to the dugout must surely be as a kind of 'protest'.
Has it all backfired? I can't imagine it's a happy camp right now.
