Last seasons promoted teams to the Prem and relegated teams from the Prem wasnt based on league position but was based on ground grading.
Does anyone know the UCL's stance this season?
Have all Prem teams met the FA's grade? If not will they get automatic relegation regardless of league position?
Is there the same March 31st deadline for ground improvements as last season?

All you need to know is this, as promised to DY, Irchester now have a ground which meets the UCL's requirements for promotion to the prem.
Our promotion will now by decided by two things, firstly the team finishing in the top two and secondly the UCL Committee when they meet after the season has finished to decide which teams will make up the leagues next season.

No that is not all I need to know. I asked 3 questions. None of them about Irchester.
After finishing bottom of the table for more seasons than I can remember I can understand why you are all so excited at the moment loz.
But every now and then spare a thought for the rest of us, because every single thread on UCL Chatter is not about Irchester Football Club.

Tad,
Trust me I spare many a thought for anyone involved at every UCL club, after spending 10 years as a player at Irchie, most of them trying to avoid finishing bottom, this is my first involved in the backroom side. As a player when you turn up at 2pm on a Saturday you just don’t appreciate all the work that needs doing to get the game on, so fair play to all who give up their free time etc to do this.
My earlier post was basically just a reply to all on here who state we can’t go up because our ground isn’t up to scratch.
As for who will go up and down, this will be decided by the league committee in May when they meet to decide the make up of the divisions for next season, whether they punish those who don’t have the grounds sorted or simply relegate the bottom two sides, I don’t know. All we know is we need to finish in the top two to stand any chance of promotion.

Thanks Fozzy, I probably should have read that before starting this thread. Hope to see you in the summer mate, should be a good weekend.
Loz all you can do is the job on the pitch and get yourself into promotion position, no one can ask for anymore from the players and managers. Having read the thread highlighted by Fozzy I assume you must have been given a grade G and acceptable for Prem football. So it doesnt matter what people write on here (even if it wasn't in this particular thread). As you no longer have to play BSMFC I wish you the best of luck for the rest of the season.

Quick question, can Eynesbury achieve promotion if they were to finish in the top 2? What I mean is, would their ground be of the required standard to go up?
Can anyone from Eynesbury or the league committee confirm? Would make the run in extremely interesting if they can.

I understand (albeit a rumour) that Eynesbury have withdrawn their application for promotion because they are unable to comply with all grading requirements currently. Having said that I hope that they can overcome the present problems in the near future.

Many thanks for your best wishes Tad, going to be an interesting last month!
Yes we have been given Grade G, and have the planning permission in place for the further seating if and when required.

More blooming rumours!!!
I would have thought that Eynesbury were a shoe in for Grade G - decent sized stands & changing rooms and floodlights in place
It is quite amazing that I have been beating myself up since last year about missing the deadline for the lights by 6 days etc. when the fact is that we did not even have the facilities in place to take part in the league that we were in!
You will have to excuse me being a bit anxious about this, but in order to finish in top 2 we may have to win 5 and draw 1 of our last 6 games which include 2 with Irchester and the last game against ONC , so for me Eynesbury are in the box seat given their run in (Thrapston & Kempston at home the toughest).
We have generally found it quite tough to really get up for it at times this season after the last 2 years success (I am as guilty as anyone) and it would be a nightmare if we miss out again!

Think you have may an away game at Cecil Street (BPW) as well TC, that is by no means a gimme. The young boys there beginning to come good... Will be tight run in for sure.
