This is class!
Last night St Neots Reserves played in a County Cup Final. One of their players was refused entry unless he paid (bearing in mind he was 1 hour early, with kitbag and tracksuit!). His Manager then had to argue and in the end they had to pay the fee!!!
The Hunts FA continue to spread good PR about themselves!!

I don't think it's what it looks like Del. Every team player and coach has tickets sent to them so that there's no chance of anyone trying to con there way in - and believe me it happens at cup finals just the same as it does week in week out at league games. "I'm the assistant manager, I'm a player mate" are typical excuses. I'm sure that the player will have got a refund but frankly I think the FA did right - he should have had his ticket - all his team mates must have had them. Actually the best one is "I'm the ref's father or wife or something". Now that's funny coz they get paid and then want there family to come in as well Ha ha Let 'em in and then take the money out of their fees ...

Wrong honestref.....St Neots Reserves do NOT get paid and three members of the squad had to pay to get in...thats just wrong, so is having a member of the opposition club's committee on the line as a late replacement. He was fair and did not in any way cheat but the whole pricipal of the thing stinks. Considering there was a fourth official, couldnt he have run the line and the gent in question took 4th official duties?

honest ref you are wrong on this one. I agree that people do try and blag their way in, but the PLAYER arrived 1 hour early in his tracksuit with his kit bag, obviously not a spectator! Plus his manager had to come to the gate and after a several attempts had no choice but to pay for his player to get in!!! The problem is the FA dont give enough tickets for teams entry, it happens every cup final, tight as a ducks....! and poorly managed!

Wrong Abbotsley paint ... I can see how you misunderstood my post. I meant in my example that it was the ref's that got paid ... and it was their family or whatever expecting to get in free Anyway, do you know if theplayers got refunded - that's the whole point. Unless you are just trying to make lots of smoke from a small fire. After all it was the players/clubs fault if he didn't have a ticket - not the FA's.

Noman - now I reckon that the FA know how many players, coaches, physios make up a team and send the tickets. It's obvious that St. Neots Town Resrevers don't and thats embarrasing for the club ... simples!

Have to say that when Potton were in a County Cup final this year, the Beds FA sent 19 passes for players/management and 5 for committee but we had the same strict rules that nobody could get in without a ticket.
