So, how about we all issue these vuvuzelas, or whatever they're called, to all fans at UCL grounds. Would create an atmosphere at all grounds, even Sargeants Lawn and Chestnut Avenue! Only joking chaps, what a perfect way to totally spoil the pleasure of watching the "greatest show on earth" as the World Cup is often billed. Thoughts anyone?

My missus warned me last night, "if you order one of those annoying vuvuzelas off the internet, I'll never speak to you again" So I ordered a dozen just to make sure.
;D

All I can say is thank goodness they won't be allowed in this country. Like the old corncrake rattles and banners they could be construed as weapons.
Omigosh, I may have strayed into H & S territory. :-)

what? 'a perfect way to totally spoil the pleasure of watching the "greatest show on earth" as the World Cup is often billed'' are you at the world cup you peasant? let me guess, you are from the same league as the guys who say that the ball is hard to deal with and the heat is too much and the pitch is too poor for our overpaid average footballers. a league where you think everything should be done the western way because we are a pompous rich rank country hang on, its their world cup!! and that horn is the african equivalent to a tribal punch up that will happen when england hold a world cup. i mean, YOU want them to ban their horn? the more i think about this it makes no sense . YOU are not there and guess what, it cant be that bad because the people that are there, are blowing them so it cant be that bad you are permitted to pass comment from your council house while sipping your bovril and moaning about the horns while your missus fills out the benefit forms and you can do this in your own bubble. but dont tell me you want to ban another nations cultural artefact because it ruins the greatest game on earth that you watch from a positon of national naivety. stick to your local football as you may fit in with the mob and remember the mob is fickle, unedcuated and totally questionable, just like your opening comment on this page KevinB.

I am almost believing again.. We do the Germans on pens,
Argentina... Crouch comes on in 85th minute amazingly it misses his head but he punches it in.. goal given!! Maradonna in tears :'(in the technical area lying on the floor... trying to sniff the line.... only to find its not coke .. and cries even more..Shilton in the crowd.. hurling abuse...... Peter Ried wants to have his say but arrives too late, everyone is in the changing rooms by the time he gets there. then Spain .... villa gets sent off..... amazingly Torres get injured... Fabregas own goal.... we become known as the 1-0 wonders..... but hell we don't care...... Brazil in the final..... they look nervous cesar gets a tummy bug and Gomez has to replace him..... he slips back in time to those dark early days at Spurs.. tries to dribble Rooney robs him 1-0 10th Minute... within two minutes a cross Gomez fumbles.. Terry header 2-0 inside 15 minutes ... the Brazilians begin arguing then fighting with each other. Lucio sent off for decking Robiniho.. 10 men and the boys are cruising .. stroking the ball around............ run run you Brazilian nuts! Motty commentating " this is the finest display of football the world has ever seen" 78 passes is a world record.. beating Corinthians vs the old Aldershot welders in the FA cup match in 1902 played at the Oval in front of just 11 fans and a horse named Horace. Fascinating .....the England players ask if the fans need a comfort break,,, and we all have 5 mins during which time they promise not to score.. we all nip off... and when back.. the 5th goes in..another two before the end we don't care... football has at last come home! I got world cup fever again!!!

Premonition - Spain go out in the groups..................
Chile create another world cup upset by drawing with the Spanish tonight and the Swiss nick it against Honduras.
