Newport Pagnell 4 - 0 St Ives.An excellent win over a strong side. It took near on half time to break the deadlock with Vinny Shreives scoring. The St Ives players tried to claim off side but the Lino agreely shouted at them to go away! And they listened! Nice to see a vocal mean linesman that can put players in there place! ;D The Linesman got the decision dead right! Myself and Swansong were in line and had a very good view, the players in the box was playing him on. The Second half saw a great preformance from our new youngster scoring a Hatrick (one of which was a penalty) on only his second game for Newport. He also scored midweek with his first touch on his debut! St ives had three players sent off in the second half, the first a second yellow card, the second when Elliott was bundled over in the box (rugby tackle) when he had a goalscoring chance and the third when a player brought down Elliott when the defender was last man. I thought the defender was a little unlucky to be sent of as Elliott started going away from the goal (difficult one to call). Another great preformance by NPTFC!

Fords 0 - 0 Potton
A performance that fords haven't produced for sometime. Fairly even first half but second half was nearly all fords except for about 10 mins. As usual, Potton players were arguing amongst themselves when things not going right for them and Steve Khune had a big bust up with one of the players and in my opinion, should have either been sent off for foul and abusive language or taken off by his manager for slagging his team mates off. Fords should have just edged the win on chances available but don't have an out and out striker to make them count when you need it. Looking better for the future though.

Newport Pagnell 4 - 0 St Ives.Another great preformance by NPTFC! Yes over the last few seasons they have been in the Premier St Ives seems to have been one of our bogey sides so I was very happy with the result and performance.. a very tight affair until the second goal went in and I had a feeling last seasons team may of let that slip which shows how far Terry and the boys have come as a unit. Bit unfortunate on the first red card but the other two you couldn't really argue about.

Raunds 1-1 Blackstones
RAUNDS END BAD RUN!
(2.12.06) Raunds managed to end their poor run in the league with a very satisfactory draw against a successful Blackstones side at home, Adam Taylor equalising in an impressive last 20 minutes of the game.
The fixture started off with all cylinders firing and within 5 minutes both sides had had a chance on goal, Bridgeford and Taylor teaming up for the Shopmates. A Matt Curtis volley 10 minutes in was replied to by a Blackstones corner in which goalkeeper Chris Jones was called into action.
On the half hour mark Blackstones made it count, a very well struck 20 yard shot gliding into the back of the net, putting distance between the two teams. The Shopmates did their best to equalise before the break, with Adam Bridgeford going forwards to shoot, and later, Taylor challenging for the ball in the air.
Confidence seemed to be knocked by the failure to equalise, and the first section of the second half was nothing less than a poor display by the team as a whole; Chris Jones left to keep Raunds in the game on more than one occasion. This low period in the game seemed to come from poor communication, organisation, confidence, and tiredness.
After the hour mark, and with a substitution made, the Shopmates managed to turn the game on its head, and a Matt Curtis cross found Adam Taylor who smashed home the equaliser after 67 minutes. The remainder of the game was a joy to watch for the neutral; end to end play with both sides looking for a winner.
Substitute Ian Symington came close after a Curtis cross, and later Callum Ridgway and Jamie Russell came forward to support the offensive tactics. Defender and captain David Coales also got a look in, his header hitting the cross bar. The away side didn’t sit back either, and also came close to scoring with a close range header. 2 minutes from the end Matty Curtis had a fantastic chance to snatch all the points for Raunds Town, but it was not to be, his header just wide of the mark. An injury time free kick also amounted to nothing, and the two sides deservedly shared the points.
Key Players: Chris Jones and Matt Curtis

And what a player Danny Nicholls is! Excellent!
