You gotta love the nature of football viewpoints and comments from managers in the paper After the game between BPW and Thraps, Kev Fox was quoted as 'Their keeper had the game of his life and will never save them again like that, we dominated the game etc etc etc' Joe Smyth saw it something like this 'Our Keeper didn't really have a save to make apart from their goal. We were much better than them first half but it was more even 2ND half. I thought we deserved to win though BPW have improved' Pick the bones out of that

It tickles me pink, that Kevin Fox said BPW dominated the majority of the game, it must have been the first 15 mins which I missed, the saves and all etc. I came just as Thrapston scored their first goal after that came the second and the game was either way then after. The penalty was legal, didn’t see the offside prior to it because probably, like the linesman, I was caught out by the sudden counter-attack. The only majority I saw, was from the BPW folk blaming or moaning at the referee for everything, which actually caused him to make a few actual (not considered depending on which side of the fence ones on) mistakes. I was there on a slightly neutral stance by the way. Anyway the second tickle me pink moment, was after all we have been talking about showing respect to referees, the home ground of the penguin has let him down, which proves a point that only with godly intervention will some folk ever change in their attitude to match officials. Finally, it was entertaining game. Agree with Foxy that if those saves hadn't happened it would been a different story, but thats football..

Well i suppose it is going to be hard to cut out ALL the individuals responsible for berating referees on match days but at least we can try and outcast them and not allow them to do things such as come on the leagues forum and call them f...... Clowns... Which was the penguins original point. So sad that you have to try and turn that around to make my posts last week about sticking up for refs to look bad. We should all be in it together to stamp this disease out

Point taken, independent forum talking about the league, not belonging to the league. Sure you didn't mean it like that but just to clear that up.

Yeah i realize it is not the league's own website but yeah the unofficial if you like, the fans favorite ;D Understand why you had to clear that up. Be happy, love referees Think i read a stat last week saying that some 25,000 games up and down the country go officiated due to a lack of refs

I agree with you about the .... clowns and to show more respect to boys and gal in black. I watched the Deeping v Raunds last night both sides of the fence had issues with the referee, but the game was fast and furious with all sorts of things going on which the officials would need ten sets of eyes each. Why can't we all just get on and accept the fact the officials are not superhuman. After all on the getting it wrong scales, faults in the play do out way the official's decision by about a significant number. No doubt some statistical bod will come with some spurious number or there will be mass fault count now....... ;D I see the next thread coming up here 'at Last night's game such and such made **** faults' and someone will reply 'no they didn't it was ****!' Hmmmmm? ? Oh sod it, Its pointless Local Nice Man. Just let them get on posting the nonsensical moaning stuff about the referees, polish their rose tinted glasses and put on their blinkers because no argument or respect campaign will ever change the deep seated stance of some!

Don't think we should give up that easily. It wasn't that long ago that some people threw banana skins onto the pitch. Where there is a will, there is a way but is there the will ? People who disagree strongly with out of order abuse levelled towards referees should speak up and say so.
