All our teams away in round 3
Beckenham v Kings Lynn
Epsom & Ewell v St Neots
Wroxham v St Ives
Stortfold v Long Buckby
I think 2 out 2 in The Bucks and Neots to go through.

I think that there is a very good chance of 3 out of 4 going through, the odd one out being St Ives who have received a very tough draw. Kings Lynn have a good chance too for the Kent League is not so strong overall this season and Long Buckby are quite capable of winning at Stotfold who are not doing so well since their move to the SML.
As for the Bookies favourites St Neots Town they should be able to beat Epsom and Ewell, but cup football is cup football and from what I hear the pitch will not suit their style of football.
What do you think ?

Now then Phil, don't you start biting at your old adversary Mr B from St Notes! Good to see you still keep in touch with the UCL and the best of luck on the 4th. In your humble opinion are things in the SML to your liking and is it better for your Club? Hopefully see you soon when the U-18's play.

Kev. I like the UCL not the travelling. Well we are struggling a little. Frankly the style of football ia completely different and took us a bit by surprise. We have lost 4 key players so thats been a problem. Dominated quite a few games but have no cutting edge. Recently i think we have turned the corner and made a couple of good signings. Refs are better but that might have something to do with the quality(and age) of linesman. Glad we made the change but miss the UCL and friends. Still call newsline for results and look at UCL and chatter site

There is a lot more football played from the back and on the deck, whilst in the UCL teams tend to mix things up alot more. Instead of playing our game we spent alot of time adjusting to their way of palying. I lost count of the number of times we over played at the back and ended up giving the ball away and getting punished. The loss of Lochhead and Brinkman in particular hurt us and we have since lost Ellis (broken foot) and Brown. The other issue is that our reserves, who have always been competitive, left as they werent getting first team football, to go to Langford. They were (are) good fringe players who we suddenly couldnt call on. Regular first team footballers they are not however which is why langford kept losing and they are nearly all playing level 6 in the Herts County League. Our Under 18's are nearly all 16 yr olds. They are really superb but we need to nuture this talent for another year before bringing them through. Went to see Buckby at home to Spencer. Nothing has changed. Good footballing side. Holman looks a real handful.Thought Spencer were much improved. I expect a tight game

Only FA VAse game played in the whole of the country !!, well done to Stotfold for getting the game on. Wasn't at the game, family issues, but 3-0 up at half time with goals from Justin Dowling, Brad Harris and inevitably Dan Holman ensured that we reach the last 32 for the second sucessive season. Well done to everyone concerned, let's hope for a decent draw on Monday.

Congratulations Phillip! Better give you your full title now you are a Non League Paper reporter! Well done on getting the game on mate, were you disappointed with the reported crowd of about 140? Haven't played Buckby yet, scheduled for this Saturday coming, but I'm told that they are a good side and the boy Holman is a real prospect.

Thanks Kev, Yes i did chuckle at the philip bit. My missus says that to me when i am in the doghouse ! Not really surprised at the gate as i dont think many knew or even had the remote inkling it would be on despite getting a radio plug late on. Actually we were missing a load of our own supporters who were away on their xmas jolly. Was disapponted by the scoreline as we didnt deserve that. No doubt Buckby were worth the win though. Holman was superb. We went to watch them at home to Spencer and knew if we didnt contain him we would struggle. Our Captain and centre back Bryant was serving a one match so we had to shuffle the back four and this didnt help. We have struggled to score all season hence our league position and this was again evident, hitting the woodwork on two occasions. Hopefully Buckby will go further as they could have had a worse draw than the one they have.

One right so far, I think I will change my original forecast to four out of four as I believe that the postponements will benefit St Ives.
All of their players are now well rested and no doubt looking forward to their trip to Wroxham on Saturday, which will be a whole lot easier than on a Tuesday night. Good luck St Ives.
I am still expecting both Kings Lynn Town and St Neots Town to progress to the next round.
Incidentally well done Long Buckby for the second season in succession.

Two right so far!!!! Well done St Ives; great performance and from what I hear well deserved.
Looking forward to Tuesday evening now. It will be good if all four UCL sides go through to the next round.

Superb performance from St Ives. Chuffed for my mate Oz Foster and hope they go all the way to the final. Just avoid Shildon and St Neots
