With Sam Allardyce just being axed even though his team are mid table..ish would you rather support a team that tried to play good football or is the result the be all and end all, and you would happily stand and watch the ball getting hoofed into the penalty box all afternoon if it ended up with a win? From reading Blackburn supporters a large majority are glad to see the back of him with one fan even commenting that he couldn't be bothered celebrating a late winner as he had just endured the worst game of Football in his life.

Football = entertainment, but a manager is under pressure to win more than he is under pressure to entertain.
A new owner in a football club will want the team to win, but also to win plaudits along the way with their brand of play.
I don't think that he was sacked because he was a bad manager, but because he is not cultured enough for the new owners.
