Late January and the top 4 appear to be breaking away from the rest of the pack. Looking back at early predictions do people still stand by their initial thoughts or have people changed their minds as to who will finish top 4??
Any surprises in there? Any potential late runners? Or who will fade come April?
Thoughts Please!!!

Whitworths have played Kempston and Olney in their last few fixtures and found Kempston a very good side. Whitworths struggled from the word go and were never really in the game, Kempston were simply too good. Olney however, although a decent footballing side, didnt seem as threatening and only finished the game off in the last 10 or 15 minutes. Thrapston have a good variety of youth and experience. Bugbrooke are relatively consistent. I'd say Kempston, Thrapston, Olney and Bugbrooke. Its a good league this year without a standout side so it's going to be very interesting.

Kempston have an extremely good set-up this year and have a large 1st team squad. I believe if they continue in their current form they will win the league with Thrapston or Olney close behind.

I am really looking forward to the Olney - Kempston fixtures and think I will make the effort to attend both games. Both teams are probably the best fooballing sides in the division and it might make a change to watch a competitive UCL game without having to wear a neckbrace from all the long high balls and clearances!!

I'm going to Wootton vs Kempston tonight, unless the weather intervenes and will post here with my observations...
Haven't seen anything of the other 3 in all honesty, but with Kempston vs Bugbrooke Saturday, it's going to get clearer!

Eynesbury Rovers will be in the mix for a top 2 place.

Kempston last night were not at there best at all. Wootton had two banks of four in place and set up to frustrate, on a heavy pitch it looked like it could be a draw, until pressure paid and Danny Watson scored from a cross 15 from time, it was all over 2 minutes later when Kempston broke, the defender misjudged the ball and the Kempston sub slotted in the second. Wootton had a great chance on the hour, but the player elected to lob and the Kempston keeper read him. Scrappy game, Kempston didn't hold their shape so well as it dragged on and got a little rattled, the direct approach is not their strength. Wootton were physical and hard working without much guile but the centre half should have walked for a shocking challenge second half. Kempston will be glad to have been off colour and won, Wootton could push a few of the top 4 hard.

Agreed, we struggled to break down a team on a scrappy pitch. Limited us playing our usual fast passing game. 3 points is 3 points, so no complaints! Wootton at home are a good defensive unit and with consistency & control will take points from teams playing on the break.

I think i'm right in saying Wootton have beaten Bugbrooke, Olney and Eynesbury from the top 5 Still got Kempston and Bugbrooke to play plus Thrapston twice, so could have a say.
