Word on the grapevine is that Gary Peace is considering his options as Blackstones reserve team manager come the end of the season, as he feels he has acheived all that he can with the reserve team.
Not sure what I make of it to be honest. I know he's done well with the reserves, and his team always seems to be there or thereabouts come the end of the season.
Anybody else heard this?

I've also heard this. He's tipped to take over at St Neots as he's a born and bred St Neots boy and I understand they are going to go the "Homely" route next season and you have to be born within the Town boundaries to play or manage for them. So when all the Rats leave the sinking ship, Gary's just the bloke to catch 'em. Boom, Boom! Why isn't this in the Reserve section anyway. On a more serious note, the natural progression is a 1st Team job somewhere, Committee duties, or " wants to spend more time with the family". He's a top, top man and is a credit to both himself and the Club, nice try pikey.

If he does it will be after appearing in yet another KO Cup Final after beating highly fancied St Neots Town in last night's semi final. Gary had to field a weakened team due to an Under 18 and a 1st team game the previous night but the strength of the Club was shown with the 1st Team joint manager adding his weight to the subs bench. A well deserved 3-0 win against a good footballing side that didn't really threaten. Congratulations.

Which manager was adding his weight to the bench? - If it was Jarvis, thats some serious weight! Joking apart, well done Blackstones. They are a real credit to the town. When do the first team play at Lincoln City?

So that'll be Burton-Jones and Tom Davies then lackof. When oh when will you get your facts correct. Burton-Jones has played nearly all 1st Team games, Tom Davies(Reserve Captain) played his first 1st Team game for probably 3 months the night before, after injury. Michael Goode played , having been a non-playing sub the night before. Ryan Francis came on as a sub at S & L as well. By my reckoning that makes ONE regular and THREE part-timers, as it were. Won't mention the St Notes team that turned out, leave that to lackof. Cowboy...is that a good enough comeback for you. A little extra for you, Ist team played Tuesday and then we had Reserves & U-18 on same night, thanks to Fixture Secretary who is.............It's been lovely without you lackof, now go away again for a few more weeks and do some research, bless you. Mockery of the rules........err speak to Mr Naylor regarding rules if I were you, jog on!

Blackstones: Mick Duggan, Tom Davies, Danny Barker, Matt Porter, Luke Hunnings, Steve Burns, Robbie Pearce, David Burton-Jones, Addie Staffieri, Michael Nelson (Ryan Francis), Ben Porter. v S&L, so that's Davies, Burton-Jones + sub Francis. By my reckoning that makes 2+1.
Blackstones: Mike Duggan, Tim Quy (Elton Holmes), Danny Barker, Matt Porter, Luke Hunnings, Steve Burns (Michael Nelson), Robbie Pearce, David Burton-Jones, Addie Staffieri, Billy Oliver, Ben Porter. v Desborough, so that makes Burton-Jones. By my reckoning that make 1.
I don't know why I am wasting valuable lunchtime on you lackof but obviously you've stepped on my grass(or lack of it as the case is) and I felt obliged to erase this awful slur on our Club. Hope they were all eligible, would hate to be removed from the Competition.

'to' has just the one 'o', just one more example of you not being able to count. Now off you trot, the school gates are open again, I've got to dash as well, got a K O Cup Final to prepare for, how about you? Whoops, bad administration again, eh! Good fun though.

Good to see that Blacko's played a reserve team Saturday, and guess what the 5-0 cup semi final win was reversed to a 3-2 St Neots win. team sheets please. ;D ;D

Truths, lackof! Let's deal with a few truths. Last Saturday's Reserve game and only ONE matchball provided, plus a stand up row about it betweeen your poor Reserve manager and a "committee member", no Physio. Bad enough but last night it actually got worse! Your team turned up with NO PHYSIO and NO LINESMAN! For some strange reason the Referee agreed to let THREE different Substitutes run your line, thus getting your Club a fine. Three spectators came including Barry Fry and then afterwards just the manager and ONE player stopped to enjoy the post match food. Now I reckon by ANY Club's standards that's a couple of really poor efforts, don't you. Instead on coming on here and berating me, I suggest that you, abbottsley, erin, gooner, whoever else "pretends" to be a member of your Club, actually gets involved and gives some help where it's needed. A Club consists of more than ONE team. I'm seriously not looking for a slanging match, these are the FACTS, I suggest that some of you put your efforts where they are obviously needed and not in to insulting somebody who doesn't hide behind a username. By the way the score was 2-0 to Blackstones against a very youthful St Neots side.
