Normally a neutral Ground in between the two Finalists. Could be at Deeping Rangers, as that is pretty much in the middle of Boston Town and St Ives Town I think.

If St Ives got to the final I would like to see it at the Walks as well.
Mind you would it be £8 to get in?!?!?

That would have to be decided between the grounds present tenant and the UCL. ;D ;D

Shouldn't it be somewhere decent, that the players won't have played at during the season?
Rushden & Diamonds would be the obvious choice, for me. Though not the best location for those remaining in the competition, it would at least have a sense of occasion and is pretty central for most teams at the start of the competition.

Rushden and Diamonds would be a good choice, would make the most of what has been described as a mickey mouse cup, this is not a view i hold, the way i look at it,is its a trophy at the end of the season, whoever wins it.I know ourselves and St Neots have made it low priority, but still want to win it,can't see St Neots putting out 11 reserves when we play them in the next round. ;D

The argument against a ground like R&D is that the money goes out of the UCL group of clubs. Who wouldnt want a few hundred persons grabbing tea/coffee/soup (or burgers) to supplement the season?
R&D have little time for the smaller clubs (which of course they once were), just ask a disgruntled treasurer who was expecting a decent pay day from a cup game, only to see it swallowed up by "stewarding/policing". Those 30 away fans were "stewarded" by more stewards than they were in total, or so the financial sheet shared at the end said!
Keep it at a UCL ground for the UCL sake and not funding other clubs who don't give a stuff about Step 5 & 6.

Who would decide which ground to use,King's Lynn or St Neots would be the obvious choice, taking into account size of crowd expected. ;D

I just feel a good quality ground for the final would add a bit of gravitas to the cup. Even the Peterborough league manage to have the final at London Road. Sixfields could be an option - the filthy cobblers need all the money they can get.

Maybe Boston Uniteds ground, quite a nice ground if i remember rightly. They would probably like the cash injection just as much, and i think that would be my preference. ;D

i also think that the final should be the last fixture of the season on a saturday, not crammed in midweek at the last minute...

Lumpster, it always goes to a UCL Member Club. Clubs offer their services and then Committee decide when the Finalists are known, to try and acheive the largest crowd possible for all involved. I think!!!!
