Wow!!!! Some serious digs flying around here. Think maybe that Huntingdon Town Reserves looked like a sunday league side is because the majority of the new players have come from sunday teams and are stepping up to a level they have never played at!

Just read the match report.........dont have anything to say about it, speaks for itself really. Yeah, a pretty accurate statement, but one that needed to be pointed out. Alot of the players that I saw from my brief spell being Macca's lacky, are nowhere near good enough to play at that level. Thats not only my opinion but a lot of others too.
I am not going to mention names as it would be unfair to them, as a player you will always want to play at the highest level you possibly can. However, you dont have to be a brain surgeon to work out where the blame for that stops! Serious changes needed at that club in the summer!

I'll keep it simple Huntingdon reserves & Peterborough Sunday morning team 1 Sileby Rangers 0. 4pts from 6, not bad for Sunday team with goalkeeper having to go off injured after 30 mins. Besides all that a very good performance from the boys & to be fair Sileby are good bunch of lads & I've enjoyed playing against them.

Hi Macca. Ryan Doherty here. I have spent a number of years at town and I am currently on the way back from a knee op. I was with Rick M in the reserves last year. I think respect is given where respect is due and I have got so disheartened that there is rarely any news on the H Town website and UCL Forum that i haven’t looked for a while. I am therefore somewhat perturbed after logging in after sometime as to the response you have personally received to an action that I see as pro-active and informative. It is extremely useful and important to read about local football and many of us will often log on to see what is going on. It is a valuable marketing tool, Darren Young is an expert at this at Irchester and it is no surprise that he works in recruitment. News makes headlines and I am pleased to read of some new names and see reports of my local team that has had limited or no press recently. I would like to move onto ‘hopewewin’ who has seen an opportunity to vent his common views by actually turning this thread into a debate about grammar rather than opening his one eye and realise that the forum is not a test of education or lack thereof but a reflection of the democratic society we live in where we are all entitled to our opinion and unsurprisingly, the opinion of the H Town reserve team manager was to actually big his team up for getting a 3-3 draw. Good for him. I am not sure whether hopewewin was bullied as a child or is a failed journalist but I am unsure of the cynical attack it has had on my local team. I speak with confidence on forums and I have no problem even putting my name as my actual err, name rather than hiding behind a screen name like hopewewin. Maybe that’s its nickname on these geeky warcraft games or maybe that’s its cybername on the Xbox. Maybe that’s the name it has at the bingo hall in March or Ramsey where it takes its sister out on a date. Hopewewin? Well actually, if the goal is to promote Huntingdon Town Reserves and create debate, Macca has already won.
Ryan

im glad you noticed that hopewewin clearly has an agenda, maybe he was kicked out of Huntingdon or beat up there or something? I will admit maybe I might have been a little excited about a good result & might have big our game up a bit. Still to go to Sileby & get a point is a great result no matter what. Then to beat them at home im ecstatic. I have to raise the profile of the Club & more so the reserves & if it means rustling a few feathers to begin with then so be it!
Anyone & everyone is more than welcome to their opinion on our games or our team & hopewewin thanks to you I didn't need a team talk for this 1 as every player was determined to prove what a average Sunday morning team could do.

Fair play to the Hunts reserves for last nights result, see that there were 7 changes from the side that lost to chenecks - enough said. good win last night and long may it continue
