Hello everyone, just to let you knoe Andy Peakes and Ryan Nash have left Wellingborough Town and joined Long Buckby. I would like to thank them both very much for all their hard work they have put in for the team this season, and wish them all the best in their new venture with Long Buckby. Two smashing lads who are a good laugh.
Good luck to both of them

So Botty's signing players then - does this make you think he may be getting the job confirmed?
Having said that it's two out, two in.

Botts would do a good job, Both him and the new chairman were down our clubhouse sat afternoon as Buckbys reserves played our reserves, and they both seemed extremely pleasant. I know Peaksy wants to try his hand at coaching, so maybe Botts and Peaksey for the 1-2. Who knows.... Good luck to all the new people who will be involved with Long Buckby Footbal Club.

Is this because these guys did not want to play at the next level up Haydn or allegedly because funds are drying up? Sorry unfair question Haydn, but there are alot of rumours (I am sure that is all they are) circulating round the bars in Town mate especially toward the end of the evening.....hick

I,m sure they would have wanted to play at a higher level John, but we haven,t even got there yet, theres a lot of football to be played yet, and a lot can change from now till the end of the season. I guess they wanted to play regular football which they were not getting at Wellingborough, but with regards our money situation i haven,t got a clue about how much money we have or haven,t got, thats for the powers to be to know that, theres always rumours going on about wellingborough at the moment, i guess its something we have to get use to. I think Nick has done a fantastic job to get us where we are at the moment and lets hope we can maintain our good form and finish in the top three, theres rumours about will our ground be ready in time??? do we have the facilities to go up???. All i do know there a lot of people who are working very hard to enable us at Wellingborough to have the oportunity of having our ground ready "IF we finish where we have to to go up.
I have too much respect for the other teams in this league to assume we are going to go up, I hope we do, but we will just have to wait and see.
Take care

The ground issues I think are affecting everyone in some way or another. Whereas for you it is to fulfill ambition for many it is to retain status quo. It is tough out there and not very much help around to be honest...

If it is one thing I hate, it is rumours. You never know if there is an element of truth in them. If one dares to quote a rumour, one is more likely to be shouted down. Look at Kettering Town, did one start a rumour about "Big Ron going there as Director of Footy?" or were the fans informed prior to the move.

I know what you mean about rumours........today across the fence someone said that Whitworths had called an extraordinary meeting this week to discuss recent results and that marshall has left WT2004. I know one of these is untrue but is the other

Stewart Marshall has certainly not left Wellingborough Town, he was outstanding yesterday against Potton and is very happy at wellingborough, sack your mole John he,s useless.
