How does the Hinchingbrook Cup draw and allocation of teams work? Are team entires by invitation only? Does it have a geographical limit - ie teams within X miles of a fixed point eg Hinchingbrooke Hospital?
Always wondered and never been able to work it out, or find someone in the know!

From memory, I believe the rules state that clubs must be within 30 miles from the centre of Hutningdon, but the 30 miles are as the crow flies and not roads. Clubs must play at level 5 or 6 in the pyramid and must have floodlights. They can play in the competition for 1 season following promotion to step 4 (as St Neots this season) but cannot play any more after that. New clubs are voted into the competition at the AGM.
