Absolutely delighted with this result last night.
We went 2-0 up in the first 2 minutes with a great header from Dan Surridge, and then a first time shot from Jason Turner after the goal Keeper miss timed his clearance.
We then had to withstand an enormous amount of pressure as St Ives really came at us with their quick passing and movement, this put us on the back foot for good periods of the 1st half, but the lads defended very well once again, and then they also found Shaun Markie in goal another hard person to beat.
Late on in the first half Jason Turner made it 3-0 with a wonderful finish. He received the ball on the left, raced forward, was one on one with the defender, decided to go on the outside, cut back in and then curled the ball from just inside the box into the top corner.
St Ives came back at us once again, and we were very pleased to going in at half time without conceding.
Second half we gained better control and we then went 4-0 up when Dan Surridge scored his second of the match when he followed up a clearance and shot from 20 yards for another very good finish.
St Ives scored with about 20 mins to go and it was no more than they deserved after all their effort they put in.
Really pleased with this win, as Ive said before we haven,t had a very good record at ST Ives, they are always hard to beat, and that was no different last night.
Was once again made to feel very welcome again last night from all the great people at St Ives and your hospitality was first class as it always is. Many thanks for that.
Take care all.
